Duo Boons are making a comeback in Hades 2, so read this article to see how to get them and what they are.

In Hades 2, you play as the Princess of the Underworld, Melinoë, the daughter of Hades and Persephone. But, during your travels, you’ll encounter various other gods that offer Boons to help you on your quest to defeat Chronos. But, some gods can combine their powers and grant you a Duo Boon. So, with that in mind, let’s see what are those Due Boons in Hades 2 and how to get them.

Hades 2: What are Duo Boons

Regular Boons are bonuses given to you by specific Gods. Duo Boons are the result of two gods combining their powers into a single unique Boon. These are very powerful and you should take them when you get the chance. For example, a Boon called Beach Ball is a combination of Poseidon’s and Apollo’s powers.

How to Get Duo Boons

You can get Duo Boons like any other Boon, ie, when you clear an encounter, a god may grant you a choice between three Boons, related to said god. But, for a Duo Boon to appear, you must have met both gods involved in it. So, using the above example, in order to have a chance to get the Beach Ball Duo Boon, you have to meet both Poseidon and Apollo.

Once you do so, getting the Duo Boon is quite random. They have a small chance to appear each time you get to choose a Boon from one of the gods. There is a way to improve that though. The Queen (XIX) Arcana Card gives the following benefit: “Any Boons you are offered have a 6% chance to be a Duo”. Equipping it will undoubtedly help you in your search for Duo Boons.
