Disney Dreamlight Valley is the latest in cozy life-sim games. It leaves early access on December 5 with its official 1.0 Patch and the first Expansion in tow. You will find a whole range of your favorite Characters to interact with, help out, hang out, and take with you on adventures. But just how many Characters are in Disney Dreamlight Valley at the moment?Â
How Many Characters Are in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
At the time of writing, there are 29 Characters in DDV. You can interact with some of them from the get-go, but others you will unlock during the course of the game, after completing some quests. Each Character has its own story arc and Friendship level. Finishing quests and increasing the Friendship level grants you rewards, usually Star Coins, Furniture, and Clothing. Let’s now see who those Characters are and is your favorite among them.

Upcoming Characters
A Rift in Time Expansion comes out with the official release of the game on December 5. It brings three new Villagers: Gaston from The Beauty and the Beast, EVE from WALL-E, and Rapunzel from Tangled. In the trailer for the expansion we also see Jafar from Aladdin, but currently, we are not sure what role he will have in the game.
Also on the same day, we’ll get a free winter content update that brings Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas to the Valley. That will bring the number of Characters to 33 (34 with Jafar), after December 5.
Another free content update will come around the end of the winter season, in 2024. It opens up the Monsters Inc. Realm with Mike and Sully.
The last confirmed information we have is that Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog is coming in the summer of 2024.
Another Villager is coming in the spring of 2024 but it is unknown who it is, at the time of writing. We will update this article as new information pops up.
