After a year spent in Early Access, Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally releasing in full on December 5. The title features some of the most beloved Disney characters alongside a long list of genre elements, like crafting, fishing, and even cooking. Just like most farming and life sims, there’s only so much you can do with the Energy you have. Luckily, you can restore a bit by preparing hearty meals, like hard-boiled eggs. That said, you’ll need to get your hands on the necessary ingredients and recruit the help of a certain Disney character to whip up this simple 1-Star Appetizer. Here’s how to cook hard-boiled eggs.
How to Cook Hard-Boiled Eggs in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Your Disney Dreamlight Valley playthrough is driven forward by story quests that you take on from a long list of classic characters. This often involves cooking specific meals, such as hard-boiled eggs. You can also regain some Energy by consuming delicious dishes, so there’s a solid incentive to start cooking. To prepare hard-boiled eggs, you’ll just need one egg. With your ingredients, access a pot and click Start Cooking.
Before you can do this, however, you’ll first need to accomplish two things:
- Collect eggs
- Bring Remy to Dreamlight Valley
How to Get Eggs
Fortunately, getting your hands on a few eggs is easy in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These ingredients are sold for 220 Star Coins at Chez Remy’s pantry in the Plaza. You can make your purchase from early on, so you should be able to buy what you need by the time another character requests hard-boiled eggs. However, you may not be able to prepare this meal just yet if Remy hasn’t taken up residence in the Valley.
How to Recruit Remy
While the Chez Remy restaurant is owned by Remy, a particularly talented little chef, you’ll need to complete an entirely different quest to recruit his help in making hard-boiled eggs. You can unlock this character’s Realm by visiting Merlin at the Dream Castle. There, you can initiate Remy’s quest, An Important Night at the Restaurant.
When this is done, Remy will arrive at the castle, appearing especially stressed about loads of dishes that need cleaning. That’s where you come in. You’ll lend a helping hand to finish this task, then further assist the Little Chef in creating recipes that are sure to impress the Critic. This includes dishes like Margherita Pizza and Pepper Puffs. Eventually, he’ll show you the recipe for his renowned Ratatouille, requiring you to prepare this iconic dish.
Once you manage to whip up the meal and serve it, head back to the Valley. You can then pay 2,000 Star Coins to build a home for Remy.
