If you want to know how to get rid of those pesky large road-blocking mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley you’re in the right place. This article explains everything.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a treat for all Disney and life-sim fans. You’ll get to help out characters like Mickey, Remy, and Merlin in their troubles. You will travel to various locations and Realms, make awesome food, grow some crops, anything you can imagine. Of course, something will be there to make your journey difficult, like the titular Mushrooms. Let’s see how to get rid of those.
How to Get Rid of Mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Mushroom patches are a type of obstruction, preventing you from accessing certain parts of the game and just getting in the way. There is a way of removing them, but it’s gonna take some time and a lot of various ingredients. So, let us begin.
Removing Small Mushroom Patches
The first thing you have to do is reach Level 8 Friendship with Merlin. This will unlock the A Dark Experiment quest. To complete it, you have to gather:
- 20 Mushrooms (foraged in the Glade of Trust)
- 5 Emeralds (mined in the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor)
- 3 Purified Night Shards (combine five Night Shards, found by digging up sparkling spots on the ground across the Valley, with one Dream Shard, also found by digging, and additionally by removing Night Thorns or by feeding favorite foods to Critters, to make one Purified Night Shard)
This will temporarily upgrade your Watering Can with the ability to remove Small Mushroom Patches. Once you are done with that, go back to Merlin to complete the quest. But this is just the first part.

Removing Large Mushroom Patches
To have the permanent ability to remove Mushroom patches, you first have to reach Level 10 Friendship with Merlin. This will unlock The Final Trial quest. For the first step, you have to bring Purified Night Shard Powder to Merlin. Gather 5 Purified Night Shards and bring them to WALL-E, so he can crush them into powder. Once you deliver the Powder to Merlin, he will ask you to gather the following:
- 15 Mushrooms (foraged in the Glade of Trust, or dropped by removing Small Mushroom Patches)
- Falling Water and Ice Heart
Once you’ve gathered all these ingredients, head on to a Crafting Station to craft the Royal Watering Can Upgrading Ointment, located in the Potion & Enchantment tab. Take it to Merlin and he will enchant your Watering Can with the permanent ability to remove these pesky Mushroom Patches. Test it out and this will complete Merlin’s Level 10 Friendship quest.
