Helltides are global events in Diablo 4 and are a great way to grind and level up your Character. In Season 4, titled Loot Reborn, Helltides have been improved and now have a lot more monsters, just waiting to give you more XP. And that is not all. The latest Season, apart from new mechanics, Uber Uniques, and Bosses, brought even more updates for Helltides, in the form of a special consumable. So, let’s see how to get Profane Mindcage Elixir in Diablo 4 Season 4.
How to Get Profane Mindcage in Diablo 4 Season 4
To get Profane Mindcage, you have to participate in Helltides. Note that from Season 4, Helltides are also available in World Tiers 1 and 2.
While participating in a Helltide, a Threat Meter will be displayed. The more enemies you defeat and the more Tortured Gifts you open, the higher your Threat Level will be. When you reach Threat Level 3, you will become Hellmarked, and “Hell’s most powerful agents” will be dispatched to hunt you down.
When you deal with that onslaught, a Hellborne mini-boss will appear. Their abilities will resemble one of the existing player Classes’ Skills. When you defeat this Hellborne boss, you will get some powerful loot and a Profane Mindcage Elixir.
This consumable can only be found in the Helltides, ie, you cannot get it in any other way, by crafting, etc.
What Does Profane Mindcage Do
Profane Mindcage is a consumable Elixir. Once consumed, it will:
- Increase Abberant Cinder drop rate and Threat gain.
- Increase Helltide Monster Level by 10 (this is capped at level 50 in World Tiers 1 and 2).
The effects last for 60 minutes. Aberrant Cinders are used to open Tortured Chests that you can find during Helltides. But, more Threat means that you will increase your Threat Level faster, thus speeding up the process of getting more Profane Mindcages.
This Elixir, combined with the increased number of enemies, will surely speed up your leveling and make you hit Level 100 in no time.
