Are you looking to get your hands on the new Legendary Aspect? Read on, this article explains how to get Shard of Dawn Offensive Aspect in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4’s Seasonal Event is in full swing. Called the Midwinter Blight, you have the chance to see Sanctuary’s take on Christmas. This new event offers new items and cosmetics, which you get by fighting new Midwinter monsters – Blightfiends. You may even get the chance to fight the Red-Cloaked Horror, Diablo’s evil Santa. But, cosmetics are not all you can get from this event. There is a Legendary Aspect that can seriously boost your attack and movement speed, so let’s see how to get Shard of Dawn Offensive Aspect in Diablo 4.

How to Get Shard of Dawn Legendary Aspect in Diablo 4?

To get the Shard of Dawn Legendary Aspect, you need to buy it from Gileon, a Vendor available during the Midwinter Blight event. You can find him in the Midwinter Square, next to the Kyovashad’s Waypoint. You can get your hands on it for only 10 Midwinter Proofs. What are Midwinter Proofs, you ask?

How to Get Midwinter Proofs in Diablo 4?

Midwinter Proofs are a currency for the Midwinter Blight event. Go to the Midwinter Square and look for Collections Table, where you can exchange certain loot for Midwinter Proof.

  • You can exchange 300 Blighted Fragments (dropped by Blightfiends) for one Midwinter Proof
  • Exchange 15 Lost Heirlooms, found by destroying Frigid Husks, for one Mindwinter Proof.
  • If you manage to find and defeat the Red-Cloaked Horror, he’ll drop a Red-Cloaked Trophy, that you can trade for one Midwinter Proof.

The best way to farm all of these items is to look for Blighted Revelry events, as only there can you summon a Red-Cloaked Horror, besides having the greatest number of Blightfiends and Frigid Husks in one location.

What does Shard of Dawn Aspect Do?

Shard of Daws is an Offensive Legendary Aspect. That means you can imprint it on One-Handed Weapons, Two-Handed Weapons, Gloves, Amulets, and Rings. It grants you the effect: “After 30 seconds of Night’s Grasp, gain Dawn’s Haste, increasing your Attack Speed by 25-35% and Movement Speed by 20% for 12 seconds. While empowered by the Midwinter Ward, killing an enemy reduces Night’s Grasp’s duration by 1 second.”

Night Grasp is an effect, that appears when using this Aspect, and it does absolutely nothing directly. Its purpose is to activate the aforementioned Dawn’s Haste and to do that, you have to be in combat for 30 seconds. In short, after being in combat for 30 seconds, you will activate the Shard of Dawn’s speed buff.

In addition, if you are under the effect of Midwinter Ward (a buff granted by a totem in Midwinter Square if you have fully upgraded it), the 30-second mark is reduced by one second for each enemy defeated.

So, if you enter the Blighted Revelry event with this Aspect, you will activate its power in no time and wade through the enemy waves like they’re nothing.
