Blizzard’s open world action roleplaying game, Diablo IV lets you crush demons all over Sanctuary. As you defeat the minions of Lilith, your character will be gaining levels. Moreover, once you’re above the level cap, you’ll start accruing Paragon points. Both have a maximum cap that may change once new content is added through expansions. So let’s check out what is the maximum level and Paragon cap in Diablo 4.

What Is the Max Level in Diablo IV?

The max level in Diablo 4 is 100, which takes a lot of time to grind out. The Paragon Board endgame system will unlock for players at level 50 when they earn final skill points, and they can continue to develop their boards with tiles up to the max level of 100. Unlike Diablo 3, Diablo 4’s Paragon will have a level cap of 100. Progression through the board is instrumental for endgame activities.

Reaching max level and the leveling process will take some time. Slaying monsters in itself is a grindy way to do it, but there’s also exploration, side quests, dungeons, etc. And much later, during the endgame, there’s the Tree of Whispers, Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and more. All of these activities provide a chunk of XP to get your character closer to max level. Note that the level cap is the same for the Hardcore mode characters, but, naturally, more difficult to get to.

When Does Paragon Board Unlock in Diablo IV?

The Paragon Board endgame system in Diablo 4 unlocks at level 50. The Paragon Board unlocks another layer of customization to character progression. From level 50 to the max level of 100, Diablo fans can continue to develop their Paragon boards with tiles, unlocking new passive abilities and customization options.

The Paragon system in Diablo 4 is designed to provide veteran players with a rewarding end-game progression system, keeping them engaged over the long term. Mastering Diablo 4 and the Paragon Board is crucial, so discovering glyphs, sockets, and types of tiles, is paramount to mastering your new legendary power.

Are Paragon Levels Capped in Diablo IV?

As previously mentioned, Diablo 4’s Paragon levels hit the max level cap at 100, providing a more controlled endgame progression system than in Diablo 3. In total, there is a maximum of 225 Paragon points that players can earn through leveling, Altars of Lilith, and Renown. Players will need to reach level 50 before unlocking the Paragon Board endgame bonuses, which adds another layer of customization to character progression. Which comes on top of all stat boosts from levels, and gear like armor and weapons.

If you made a mistake when assigning your Paragon points, you have to option to refund each point individually. In case you want to completely reorganize your board, Blizzard is adding a new “Refund All” button with its newest Patch.
