Alan Wake 2: All Maps and Where to Find Them

In Alan Wake 2, you’ll spend time playing as both the esteemed horror writer and FBI Agent Saga Anderson. Gameplay is split between two worlds, each of which can be tough to navigate if you’re not sure where to go next. Fortunately, you can pick up maps scattered throughout each character’s realm to plan out your next move.

That being said, Remedy has done a bang-up job at hiding maps in plain sight. If you keep your eyes peeled while traversing the Dark Place and the towns of the real world, you just might get lucky and pick one up. To save you the time and the headache, we’ve put together a list of all maps and exactly where to find them in Alan Wake 2.

All Maps in Alan Wake 2

You’ll find two different sets of maps when you play as Alan and Saga in Alan Wake 2. With 11 in total, you can pocket five maps in the Dark Place and six in the real world. While these realms are connected in a sense, the locations in which you find these items will vary greatly. Let’s break down the locations for each set of maps.

Alan Wake – Map Locations

AREA	WHERE TO FIND
Talk Show Studio	As you explore the Talk Show Studio, you’ll eventually meet a janitor. With his downstairs keys, head down to the basement and go through a doorway marked with a red exit sign. To your right, there will be a map displayed on the wall.
The Dark Place	Shortly after escaping the studio, you’ll enter the Dark Place. Follow the sound of a phone ringing to reach a telephone booth. On a small directory to the left of this, you’ll see a map. You can also interact with Tim Breaker to add POIs.
Subway	Head deep inside the subway until you find the location’s save room. Just outside, you’ll see the map on the wall by the door.
Oceanview Hotel	When you start the Room 665 quest, you’ll arrive at the hotel’s entrance hall. Behind the lobby’s front desk, look to your right to find a map on the wall above a computer desk.
Poet’s Cinema	Go straight into Poet’s Cinema and look for the refreshments stand. Head behind the counter and go through a door marked Staff Only. Turn around to your right to see a map on the wall by the door.

Saga Anderson – Map Locations

MAP	WHERE TO FIND
Cauldron Lake	At the start of the game, Saga will get out of her car. If you face away from the vehicle, you’ll see a map to the right of the Police Station.
Bright Falls	The entrance of Bright Falls leads down a long road. Follow along until you reach a yellow fire hydrant on your left. Head past the hydrant and down the alley to a telephone booth, where a map is found to the right. You can also pick up this map inside the Elderwood Palace Lodge.
Sheriff’s Station	After you gain access to this location, you can enter through the front doors. Inside, you’ll see the front desk and a gap nearby. Go through this entrance and head left to find a map situated between two windows.
Watery	When you begin the Local Girl quest, you’ll see a building topped with signs to your right. Head inside to find a map displayed on top of a desk.
Valhalla Nursing Home	When Rose lets you into the Nursing Home, go to your right to find her office. Behind a desk decked out with Alan Wake merch, you’ll see a large map hanging on the wall.
Wellness Center	Enter through the Wellness Center’s sliding doors and immediately look to your left. You’ll see a map pinned to the bulletin board on the wall.
