XDefiant currently has only five devices players can choose from to take as part of their Loadout. Although there are all great choices, one has to be the best. Below you will find our ranking for the best devices in the game. Just keep in mind that all except one will have to be unlocked before it can be used in a match.
5. Flashbang Grenade
Once deployed, the Flashbang Grenade can blind and impede enemies’ hearing, making them an easy target. If used properly, this can be a great tool, but sadly, players will need to deploy them right in front of their enemies to get the most out of it. This requires a lot of practice, and the results are not guaranteed, which brings Flashbang Grenade to the bottom of our list. To unlock Flashbang Grenade players have to kill 20 enemies suffering from Status Conditions.
4. EMP Grenade
Like the Flashbang Grenade mentioned previously, the EMP Grenade can be a good tool if deployed correctly. Throwing an EMP Grenade can stop or destroy any enemy-deployed devices or abilities, which can turn the tide of battle. However, the effectiveness of this device is rather limited and depends on the enemy’s activity. This makes the EMP Grenade very situational, and although it can be quite effective, other devices can be used for greater impact. Unlocking EMP Grenade requires players to deal 400 damage to enemy equipment using devices.
3. Sticky Grenade
The Sticky Grenade will attach to any surface before exploding and dealing damage to anyone caught in its blast radius. Moreover, players can throw this device at enemies and stick the grenade on them, making it so that they cannot escape the explosion. In the hands of a skilled player with good accuracy, this can become a quite devastating device. The Sticky Grenade is unlocked by inflicting 25 Status Conditions on enemies.
2. Frag Grenade
Our runner-up is a Frag Grenade, although a default choice, it is one of the best devices in the game. Players can use the devastating explosions of this device to clear out entire rooms or objectives. However, a bit of practice is required to get the most out of the Frag Grenade.
1. Proximity Mine
On the top of our list is a Proximity Mine. Once deployed, this device will remain in play until an enemy runs close, which will detonate the Mine. Proximity Mine explosions can obliterate enemies in a second, and they’re really hard to evade once triggered. Using this device is a great way to protect one’s back and flanks. To unlock the Proximity Mine, players have to deal 1,000 damage with devices in XDefiant.
