Wow, someone actually scored it lower than my 6/10 haha. It's bloody crap isn't it !!

Negative773658d ago

Actually it's not. Played it at a friend's house and to my surprise it's a lot of fun. 7/10 would be fair. Not deep at all but a good party game IMO.

@Army

14:25 lmao. This game is a joke and reminds me why I don't own an Xbox One.

randomass1713657d ago

I can imagine this game being fun with friends who don't normally play video games, but I think it's one Xbox One game that will quickly be forgotten.

Blaze9293657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

"Yes, I’m Samuel L Jackson, and I’m a douche. "

reasons why people don't take reviews seriously anymore and just look at the score with no reading. The first three "paragraphs" aren't even about anything. This "review" is a joke. Not saying the game is bad (which it isn't) but seriously, just read this thing.

Game's fun to play. At the end of the day that's what matters. But not for $59.99 - Microsoft seriously has the game f'd up if they think this is worth $60 USD and comparable to other games. I can't support that.

Volkama3657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

The One has a very limited selection of games I could consider. Kinect Sports Rivals would be an option to play with my kids, but £50 is just a stupid asking price imo.

It's difficult going from stores like Steam or Origin or even the older consoles and then looking at the One store. The prices are just silly by comparison.

A couple of weeks ago the Lego Marvel game was £4.99 on Steam. I saw it was only reduced from £14.99, so I figured I'd pay that much extra to get it on the more child-friendly Xbox One. Had a look and it was £49.99. 10x as much as the same game on Steam. Impossible to justify buying that version.

I hope the consoles mature quickly, I can't wait for the prices to drop and the catalogues to expand.

Hardly a review. Ironically just called every sport vague and simply.

randomass1713657d ago

The irony being that sports are pretty specific as far as tasks and objectives are concerned.

How bad is the Xbox One Kinect?

gamesblip3658d ago

Still needs a footy field for a lounge room. I had my couch squished against my kitchen cupboards and it still whined about not seeing my feet - which are huge.

Negative773657d ago

Kinect is actually an awesome piece of hardware. Fail troll is fail.

gamesblip3657d ago

I'm not sure whether you're prepared for a serious discussion on this with your 'fail troll' type, but I've been more accepting of Kinect previously than most anybody else reviewing - just search for 'Kinect' within my site's search box. However, it's the next generation now and it's time for Kinect to step up. If anything, KSR is a leap backwards for the tech as it just accentuates previous misgivings many have had with it. I'm hardly celebrating the fact.

DigitalRaptor3657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

Unfortunately not for gaming.

And everything else it touts is supposedly for ease-of-use i.e. voice commands to not have to get up and use your controller to do stuff.

Ironically then we have the same people justifying games where you have to make more effort for a more frustrating and less immersive experience. C'mon it's got to be one or the other, and at the moment it leans heavily towards non-gaming... on a gaming console.

Charybdis3657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

Well its fun party game with friends and family some of which I know don'like playing 3d games as they aren't really good (understatement) at controlling characters with a controller in a 3d environment. There are people who like the game and who don't like it. 5/10 I find an understandable score but is just a score and doesn't mean people can't have fun with it or that they are wrong to have fun with it. Either-way the hardware itself is impressive and is kinda cool to show to other people.

gamesblip3658d ago

OK, just for you alone how about 2.5/10?

WiredX3657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

Kinect is really an amazing hardware piece. It is shocking that you guys rated it 5/10. It should be 7-8/10.

DigitalRaptor3657d ago (Edited 3657d ago )

The flaws have already been pointed out by multiple 5/10 and 6/10 scores.

The game doesn't justify gaming on the Kinect, yet again. So they've had 4 years to focus on it and get it right, and they can't. Billions of dollars they've invested in it and it performs exactly as we said it would for gaming, even with a better version. Proves a lot I'd say.

randomass1713657d ago

The thing is Kinect Sports is a far more casual title and probably doesn't change much from the 360 games. If Microsoft are going to continue trying to sell Kinect then they need to do a better job than this. Also keep in mind that 5/10 doesn't necessarily mean it's a terrible game, that score is supposed to mean "average" or "okay."

lol I cannot believe this thing exists. Is it crazy that I'd love for RARE to make a worthwhile follow-up to Perfect Dark 64?

Would you say absolutely horrible hyperbole? :D

4Sh0w2520d ago (Edited 2520d ago )

Halo 5?....pffft to each his own but Halo 5 is a great game, every Xbox owner I know enjoyed it, the campaign was nice I like the teamwork concept and the multiplayer keeps 'em coming back with great gameplay & modes so much content, 343 did a helluva job.

Christopher2520d ago

@4Show: Uh... going to assume that's a comment intended for someone else.

spicelicka2520d ago

Not Halo 5. It had a bad story COMPARED to past games but it didn't have a bad story overall. The gameplay was top notch, and multiplayer is still one of the best on the market right now. Custom games browser is the single greatest thing 343 did which I'm grateful for.

ninsigma2520d ago

Nah it really was a bad campaign. MP was great but seriously, that was a hugely terrible story mode.

spicelicka2519d ago

The story maybe, but some of the missions were extremely fun. The Sangehlios ones are right up there with the best missions in the franchise.

Kingthrash3602520d ago

Halos mp was great but became boring quicker than most.
The story. Naw that was bad and it's marketing was a lie. Made it seem like old master chief was gunna fight that new fake master chief but the conflict ended up being a one punch cgi sequence.
Not to mention fighting the same boss over and over and over....plus add the no split screen mp and whala! You got the worst canon halo ever made

brich2332520d ago

Compared to Halo 4, Halo 5's story was trash and not memorable at all.

ninsigma2519d ago

That's not really saying much though cuz that was pretty bad as well.

ninsigma2519d ago

Agreed on sanghelios. That was one of the very few times it actually felt like halo.

And another article with 15 items from this website *shakes head*

MadLad2520d ago

Halo 5, FarCry 2, Dragon Age 2, Nuts and Bolts, and Gears of War: Judgement were all far from bad games. Hell, even Crackdown 2 was pretty fun.

There's a difference between a lesser sequel, and a bad game.

rlow12519d ago

With a Title that says "horrible sequels", most of these are far from that. Better title should be disappointing sequels. But I'm sure they went with the former to get clicks and bring in the fanboys.
