Porting Planetside 2 UI To PS4 "An Enormous Undertaking"

Planetside 2 Creative Director still won't commit to a date for the PS4 version, adding that porting the UI was "an enormous undertaking".

Me too. While I regularly play FPS on PC, I've found out that I simply am better with a controller...Though what I'm really waiting from SoE is H1Z1

I'm exactly the opposite. I regularly game with a controller but I'm way more accurate with a mouse and keyboard. Goes to show we're all different eh? :P

Like to me,pc control's are way better for fps but anything else like racing,fighting,or 3rd person I feel like controller is better. Oh and strategy games are better on pc controls. Maybe for future ps4 strategy games will be using the touchpad for the mouse icon and they will be much easier to use on controller.

Well we know PS4 supports keyboard and mouse (FFXIV) so that definitely opens up options for games on the console.

The only thing that worries me is PS2 was announced for Ps4 last year e3 (1 Year) and still no release date, so how long will H1Z1 ?!

Working with totally different engines and architecture, I can see how porting this game would be challenging. Bet they'll do a good job though. Just gotta wait and see.

I just watched some footage of some epic battles from this game. Never knew anything about it before other than hearing the name and people being excited about it.

Now I see why. This game is amazing.

Tried playing it on PS3 and couldn't get into it because of the limited performance. But I reckon that the PS4 version will be leaps and bounds ahead of it.

By the way, the performance has significantly improved in the last few months. I'd say give it another try now, you might be able to run it just fine now.

This is the reason why I bought my PS4, I get my ass handed to me when I play on my PC and it ruins the experience. I'm great with a controller but hopeless with mouse and keyboard and it didn't offer any decent control pad support which was a shame.
