With this price and 4K minecraft! :D

KillBill2438d ago

Minecraft is already on the PS4 Pro... what is your point?

morganfell2438d ago (Edited 2438d ago )

I think you missed the point. He is being sarcastic...

Sonic_Vs_Mario2438d ago

Minecraft isn't capable at outputting native 4k on PlayStation 4 Pro lol

goken2438d ago

it actually may...
if u looked at articles before the pro launch, it was all how sony is betraying gamers negative negative articles.
on the other hand Xbox one x is it's awesome, unbelievable, most powerful ever blah blah...
there is a clear biasness in favour of xbox.
this could prove to work towards better sales

KillBill2437d ago

Not thinking you are getting around much because the media bias is actually against XB1X... totally slighting its launch versus comparable media for PS4 Pro launch last year.

TheUndertaker852437d ago

https://www.windowscentral....

The list is larger than Pro at launch and it's not even the Xbox One X launch

OffRoadKing2438d ago

Well since we dont know the actual numbers for the Pro sales that might be hard to gauge but I'm sure we will get many convoluted articles here claiming it has.

Pantz2438d ago

Xbox One X is already the fastest selling Xbox console, and the initial shipment is sold out long ago. Why would you need to see numbers? It's not even close.

WeAreLegion2438d ago

Fastest selling Xbox is still pretty slow for PlayStation. The PS3 outsold the 360 from launch. That's why it slowly surpassed it.
On top of that, fastest to what? 50,000 units? 100,000? We have no idea.

Markusb332438d ago

If you don't know number how do you know it's not even close ? Everyone knows it is always a limited number on pre orders. Psvr sold out in days and only just sold 1 million so what's your point? Don't be blinded by marketing talk. There was virtually no pre ordering on the og xbox. 360 had good pre orders and xb1 had terrible pre orders. Hardly a huge target to supass.

AmUnRa2438d ago (Edited 2438d ago )

No it is not is not even on the market. They put the Scorpio model on for reservation,
none of these Scorpio XboXoneX is SOLD, on Amazon, not ONE of them.

Theyr are NO sold numbers dont twist the true, cous thats what you are doing😉

S2Killinit2438d ago

Check out amazon best sellers, xboxone x fell off immidiately.

frostypants2438d ago

Fastest selling based on what published numbers? Surely you aren't treating PR babble as evidence...

boing12438d ago

Exactly. Not even close to Pro. Not yet at least.

OffRoadKing2437d ago

"Its not even close", proceeds to give no numbers. Oh its just Pantz never mind.

JonTheGod2438d ago

Sony said that 1 in 5 PS4 sales is a Pro. So 20% of all PS4s bought since the Pro launched are Pros.

Pantz2438d ago

And the Xbox One X's initial shipment sold far more on Amazon than all PS4 Pro's sold in 2017

yeahright22437d ago

@pantz
So, one retailer in one country with a grand total $0 actually spent until they ship a couple months down the road...
ok. Before people bash/brag about the 1X's sales, maybe we should wait to see what the sales actually are. I'm sure if it beats the pro MS will be sure to make us all know.

DarkZane2437d ago

@Pantz

I am pretty sure that's a lie made up by Xbox fanboys. The truth is, the Xbox One X on amazon isn't even remotely close to sell as much as the PS4 Pro sold in 2017 on amazon alone.

iDadio2437d ago

Surely your not being serious Pantz, if you are then I'm afraid your definitely on a certain spectrum

Pantz2437d ago (Edited 2437d ago )

Prove it? https://www.amazon.com/gp/b...
Xbox One X #55 best seller in video games category for all of 2017. PS4 Pro, #88 best seller in video games in video games category for ALL of 2017. Note: PS4 Pro was selling ALL YEAR LONG. Xbox One X only sold for a few days and is currently sold out.

Boom.

PS. They make $100 more per console.

zsquaresoff2438d ago

But will it outsell Ps4 in general?

KillBill2438d ago

Why would it be expected to?

thejigisup2438d ago

because its microsofts new console generation...

Condemnedman2438d ago

don't need to sell more just be more powerful that will be enough to wind up the trolls

Gh05t2437d ago

Nope, both consoles combined wont outsell PS4. But if that gap closes at all it would be a good sign for MS. Only one console can be #1 but I would rather see #2 with a smaller margin then #2 with a giant 2:1 (if not more) gap like it exists now.

Fishy Fingers2438d ago (Edited 2438d ago )

Certainly seems to have more mainstream attention and on a hardware perspective alone (please don’t copy/paste a list of games in retaliation) it’s no doubt the better considered upgrade.

But I’ve always maintained the same stance, I’d rather both struggle to make much of an impression resulting in short gens but with ‘proper’ new systems every 4-5 years rather than ‘upgrades’ tied to the OGs.

mcstorm2438d ago

It depends on how you look at it. MS have said they don't want to do gens anymore and have a steady stream of consoles ever 3 or 4 years but it will play all the older games and older console will play new games to. For me ide rather have this but we are all different

Fishy Fingers2438d ago (Edited 2438d ago )

That’s fine, essentially fixed form PCs. I can live with that, my only concerns are parity between systems to maintain that ‘level playing field’ if you have a shared online space/pools and future development hampered by forced old system support.

mcstorm2438d ago

Yeah I agree with you on that but I think it will work where a console drops off after the 2nd upgrade. So for example the xbox one/s will not be supported when the xbox Y comes out but the X will still be supported.

But the games you have on the one/s will work on the Y and X and all Y games will work on X. For me ide love this as have only one console over all the retro ones I have now takes up less space haha.

I know Sony have said they are not looking to do this though but I just feel both the xbox one and ps4 lacked a lot of what the 360 and ps3 did and MS way of keeping the consoles on the same ideas means they don't lose anything when you get the next one.

BlackTar1872437d ago

Are you saying a console that came out not named Nintendo 15 months apart from the competition is better with technology? No Fliiipin way OMG ground breaking.

Imalwaysright2437d ago

PS3 came 1 year after the 360, cost €200 more than the 360 and it was outperformed throughout pretty much the whole last generation.

BlackTar1872437d ago (Edited 2437d ago )

It was outperformed due to difficulty not power, ps3 exclusives were by far the best looking games of last gen.

But i know you know that

Imalwaysright2436d ago

By far? No, I didn't know that. The difference in power shown in PS3 exclusives was nothing to write home about considering the time advantage and price of the PS3 compared to the 360. It should be PS2 vs Xbox big, probably even bigger when you take in account that it cost upwards to €800 to produce the PS3 but when I look at games like Rise of TR, Crysis 3 or Metro Last light running on the 360 I don't see this "far" you're talking about.

I know that the PS3 was to difficult to develop for but I'm not sure why does Sony's incompetence at designing the PS3 change the fact that their console was outperformed throughout the whole last generation by a console that was much cheaper and I came out 1 year before it.

Generative AI Will Allow Bigger, More Immersive Worlds, Says EA, and Developers Were 'Hungry' for It

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson said generative AI will allow bigger, more immersive worlds, and the developers were very eager for it.

If you want a tool to reduce the time it takes to make a product, AI is a tool to do that. If you want a tool to just make content for you, AI is a poor crutch for good writing and storytelling.

Vits15h ago(Edited 15h ago)

I don't disagree. However, good writing and storytelling in games are still pretty rare. Honestly, AI as it is right now could probably produce output similar to, if not better than, your average experience. Especially because the main issue I see being thrown around for its use is the generation of ludonarrative problems. But, we have literal GotY winners that are incarnations of ludonarrative problems and written by humans. So if specialists don't care, would the average player even notice?

That said, from the perspective of improving the craft, AI will undoubtedly do more harm than good if used for that.

Christopher15h ago

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying what we're getting out there right now is overall great from everyone. There are obviously a lot of bad writers out there. The problem is AI learning from bad writers. No thanks!

thorstein20h ago(Edited 20h ago)

Time for AI to replace CEOS. That way, when it fails, as it inevitably will, there's no one to tell. The employees can continue to make games, get raises (no CEO bonuses), and there will no longer be bone headed decisions by id10Ts.

Christopher15h ago

Think how much easier it will be to fire an AI CEO than a real one! We've sacked Ocrulos AI CEO and will be replacing him with Kensho Technologies v3 CEO.

isarai14h ago

Honestly, that's the funny thing I find about AI. Is that it's the management and higher up positions that are the most perfectly replaceable positions with AI vs people at ground level.

XiNatsuDragnel14h ago

Just ea man y'all embarrassing yourselves

anast55m ago

Games are about to get worse. AI will do most of the lifting, devs will polish the turd and prices will raise because of "the economy".

I've heard of garbage in, garbage out.

But garbage creating garbage is a whole new "landscape of gaming" garbage.

isarai22h ago(Edited 22h ago)

You mean "Replace" 🙄😒

enkiduxiv1h ago

Coming from Andrew Wilson, an AI designed to behave like a tech bro, this sounds like nepotism.

Barlos1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Yeah and it'll also destroy creativity, as well as cause more job losses.

The more I hear things like this, the more I think the games industry is finished. I see nothing to be excited about any more.

EA games are going to get worse.

Next Battlefield Game Already Playable and Being Built by “Largest BF Team in History"

EA says the next Battlefield game is being built by the "largest Battlefield team in history," and confirms the game is in a playable state.

Kaii1d 9h ago

“I’ve just spent a whole bunch of time with the collective Battlefield team, playing what they’re building and it is going to be another tremendous live service.”
It's just what gamers want, more live service garbage.

XiNatsuDragnel1d 7h ago

Ik more live service is what I want /s.

_SilverHawk_1d 6h ago

I'd like a lot more live service game / hi 5

RaidenBlack1d 3h ago

What Henderson has leaked so far is that ... even though the dev size's large, they are playing safe this time,
so I am guessing big budgeted BF3 2.0 ... fingers crossed

Yi-Long11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

We don't need thousands of workers wasting their time and effort, for many years, on a live-service project nobody asked for.

Just take a dedicated small team and create a cool Battlefield GAME. Not a service, but a game. As in 10-12 Conquest maps, 4 classes, cool gameplay, done. That's it.

That doesn't need 3-4 years of development. That doesn't need thousands of employees. Just go back to basics; Release a cool game, let gamers buy and enjoy that game, and 1-2 years later you release a sequel. No 'service', no subsciption, no DLC, no seasons. Just a game. On its own. Done. 50 bucks.

Inverno9h ago

Oh boy I can't wait to see how they screw this one up.
