It would be awkward if it weren't

GtR35olution2660d ago

the game looked really rough and dated on the switch.

ABizzel12660d ago

It looked like the last-gen versions on a slightly higher setting than the console. But the lighting an hues I believe prove it's the remastered versions, but at the lowest settings possible, because the game looked rough.

DemonChicken2660d ago

It would be awkward if it came with the bugs that the original did of which the remastered also had (i.e. was not fixed).

......... It will

Tetsujin2660d ago

Not to be "That guy" but with how strict Nintendo is about their games having minimal bugs, I wonder how this will get past their QA?

I personally will skip on Skyrim for the Switch since I already own a PC and PS4 copy, don't need a 3rd version, especially since Zelda sparked my interest.

Nintendo will not going to have enought third party game developers. Most nintendo owners will focus with Mario,Zelda,Pokemon,Monster Hunter for Switch. Nintendo will not going to make it even if its 4k resolution console. They should just focus with 3DS handheld. Nintendo lost all the third party developers from Sony after stupid decision to go with cartridge instead of CD for N64 system.

Hopefully with mod support...prolly not tho.

Woohoo, a last generation game on a new console, never seen that before!

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast21d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22920d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko20d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
