Nintendo's latest Metroid outing suffers a sad slump out the gates
Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Now that the series seems to have found its footing again, it’s a good time to revisit one of the most maligned titles Nintendo has ever released and ask the question – Metroid Prime: Federation Force, was it really that bad?"
It's the Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z of Nintendo. Who had this idea in the first place?
The "Metroid" series has been challenging players with exploring alien caverns and stealing their weapons since the first game blasted onto the NES in 1986. Since then, lead protagonist Samus Aran has managed to survive over a dozen encounters with the life-draining Metroids and the Space Pirates who seek to control them. The job hasn't always been easy — in fact, Samus has done some pretty terrible things over the years in the line of duty — but gamers have always been more than happy to help her save the galaxy.
Ever just look at a game and go, "who wanted this?" We take a look at 11 ill-conceived Nintendo games that rose that question.
Supply and demand... no one asked for this.. give people what they want (Metroid Prime), they'll buy it. No idea why that's so hard to get. Glad this flopped, Nintendo will Lear--- oh wait, they never learn do they. >_>
Lets try with Samus again,Nintendo.
But does anyone believe that Nintendo understands why the game flopped?
I think Zelda BotW is a step in the right direction for Nintendo. I hope the rest of their franchises can follow suit.
good, nobody asked for that thing anyways. It was an insult to metroid fans
