EA are still investigating adding 360 backwards compatible games to EA Access

Via Twitter, EA reassures fans that they are investigating adding Xbox 360 games to EA Access in light of the recently released backward compatibility feature on Xbox One and to "stay tuned" for future updates.

EA should do it, it would definitely sway me into getting EA Access because right now it doesn't offer many series I play. If they offered 360 games that were more than just sports and shooters than I'd definitely see it worth it then

EA Access is very good right now, but this would add serious value as long as they it excludes those who already own the disk. Have to stay with M$ theme of NOT paying for what you already own.

There is more chance of EA releasing the ME Trilogy Remastered than ever make them available in the vault. I'm more than happy to be proven wrong though. But I just got ME2 from PS+ this month. Still yet to play it

EA access does home share. I play games from the vault on my gamertag, but you have to be playing on the home console of the person with EA access. If you are I don't know why it's not working.

I figured out that it was an issue with the 10 hour trials. It only works with the 1 person who has the Access account.

I think a lot of pubs are waiting for MS to solve the multi-disc issue. Once that is solved, I expect BC game quality to rise significantly.

You misunderstood, man. If ME2 is available for BC then you can either use the disc or your digital version that you had purchased just like any other BC titles. But for many who don't own the game, they can use EA Access to play the game.

i can see that happening from EA, that way Microsoft wont have to go thru all the leg work themselves when dealing with all the EA titles.
I also see EA raising the price to about 5 more dollars as well.
I love the EA access tho, cuz i don't buy yearly sports titles like i used to, so i can wait on them to play. Certain genre that didnt appeal to me then i can play them now (Dragon Age). Basically i wont never have to buy an EA title period unless the price drop deeply like titanfall disk at bestbuy for 8 and live 15 digital for 6 dollars and yet still those titles went to the vault. So again why even pay those prices when knowingly they will hit the vault soon. But to get experience every EA title even from the 360 era for little 5 a month aint bad at all thas almost giving away their close to free if you ask me.

Ummm... No. Is anyone else not getting this? Microsoft said yes to backwards compatible for any game, developers just need to say yes. I'm not sure anyone's getting it here, EA is announcing how they're going to lock their games behind the EA access paywall.

think about it you and i may not have EVERY EA game right, so yeah EA also may not give Microsoft permission to all of their games due to different ownership of a certain game.
So lets say that an indie dev wants EA money to publish their game. Well Ea wud need permission just as well Microsoft needs that same permission. But since EA are the publisher of many many games its a no brainer for them to put it on the EA access paywall.

Do you have a link to confirm this? As far as i understood, they would add 360 games to ea access, but those same games would also be available to anyone who owns the games, just like any other 360 game. Am I wrong?

And that is the point, they didn't tell, of course the logical thing to do would be to make some games available in xone BC, so those who already have them could play them and simultaneously put them all in EA Access Vault, so if someone don't have them, they just opt in for sub and good to go.

I'm 100% sure if they say yes but only for EA access paywall then there would be a lot critique at them.

No to mention i think m$ would not allow that and probably even don't have a functionality to block such games by custom parameters (ea access sub check), they would need to make a game BC and this automatically means it would run as any other xone BC game, from already purchased game disk or digital.
