the dude is too politically incorrect for people, he says what he thinks, people should respect that, but they dont, they respect liars, personally i think the guy is great and i hope MS sign him up for forza 6, his voice alone makes you feel like you are playing a legit AAA racing game :)

Genuine-User3319d ago

He didn't get fired for being politically incorrect. He physically and verbally abused the producer over hot food.

Gazondaily3319d ago

Yeah this is true lol. Its not on. What he did was wrong but we know he's a bit of a pillock. Still, its better than being a child predator like the others that the BBC have protected for so long.

The Top Gear partnership means jack squat if he isn't involved. MS or the Forza lot need to reach out to him personally.

Genuine-User3319d ago

@ septic
It sounds rediculous doesn't it lol. And I agree with what you have said, but no one should get away with physical abuse over such trivial matters.

SilentNegotiator3319d ago (Edited 3319d ago )

How did it get to the point that everyone thought it was anything else? All of the sudden there was an explosion of articles condemning/defending Top Gears supposed decision to suspend him over a non-PC comment.

The media sure will go to any depths to make things seem sociopolitical, won't they? I guess anything with "racist" in the title will get more hits than "Star Overreacts to Something...World Stunned"

sidenote: I hope this doesn't affect Top Gear USA. I love the episodes where they pick out junkers and try to make it across the country, lol.

gamer78043318d ago

he did, and it was wrong, he tried several times to get ahold of the guy and apologize but he didn't answer his calls. Yes it was wrong, yes he is sorry. People can't grow if one doesn't accept the apology. He should be penalized, monetarily or something. But to punish the shows loyal fans is not the right answer. Watch the NBA or Football, far worse things happen but they are still allowed to play. Its a double standard. We all need to learn to forgive and forget if someone is truly sorry.

Gazondaily3319d ago

He can be a bit of a prat but he's our prat and he doesn't hide the fact that he is one. He is the face of Top Gear and I do like his approach. I know he can be a bit marmite though.

I'm interested in what he and the other two stooges are going to do next. Top Gear is Clarkson and Co so MS better side with these guys!

mixelon3319d ago

He would have got his contract renewed if he hadn't beaten up the show's producer for 30 seconds.. (whyyyyy..)

His political incorrectness is part of his appeal and success, and people do respect that - but that doesn't excuse him being a complete douche.

I'd like to see him in games, and he'll be snapped up by another channel/production company for sure.

Inzo3319d ago

Some say......Clarkson never touched that producer.

Onehandband1t3319d ago

^^ Was you there?? .... No, Nobody know's what happened apart from JC and the presenters

Genuine-User3319d ago (Edited 3319d ago )

Do you mean to say that there's a conspiracy against Jeremy Clarkson, the politically incorrect co-presenter of the widely successful BBC TV show Top Gear?
A conspiracy against the show by the producer of the show.
Interesting lol.

mixelon3319d ago (Edited 3319d ago )

Well the guy went to A&E and Jeremy Clarkson reported the incident himself.. And there *were* multiple witnesses.

So is Jeremy in on his own conspiracy to make himself look bad? He doesn't deny any of this.

Jdoki3319d ago

@Onehandband1t

Yes! of course the BBC wanted rid of him. Top Gear ONLY makes the BBC £50+million per year and has been sold to over 200 countries!

He's pals with numerous newspaper editors / execs, and even the Prime Minster. So of course everyone was against him and wanted him off TV.

Of COURSE there's a conspiracy to get rid of him.

This article isn't even game related. Why would he spend this time there for free? Unless he as prerecorded in the game months back.

This article is more e about top gear. He's not in top gear any more "period" end of story.

Would be funny if he's in other racing games DriverClub/Need4speed. Lol

3-4-53318d ago

* Don't care how "real" or honest you are....you don't get to punch somebody and keep your job.

None of us would be able to and neither should he.

There are consequences for actions like that and he just found that out.

This SHOULD teach him to not be so arrogant but it won't.

Good show though, and I hop Top Gear is in Forza 6.

It definitely adds to the experience.

freshslicepizza3319d ago

if he is no longer employed by top gear he probably won't be in it unless they already recorded him and they are legally able to.

Immorals3319d ago

The BBC made a terrible decision. Not condoning what he did, but they have now lost the heart and soul of a £50m a year TV show, and the two other hosts along with it.

Meanwhile other companies are fighting over their cheque books to hire them!

Maybe a bonus race in forza 6 where you have to get the food to jeremy before it gets cold?

WESKER20153319d ago

the BBC has been on a downward spiral for a long time now, still some great shows from that Broadcaster though, ideal, two pints of larger, lots of classics, shame

Hellsvacancy3319d ago

It was gonna happen anyway, Top Gear is oldskool, it doesn't fit with the new sensitive BBC

TG will be back, with a female presenter no doubt

Jdoki3319d ago

They did have two female presenters in the 80's iirc.

I'd have no objection to a female presenter, if she was more than just a token female for political correctness.

Vicki Butler-Henderson on Fifth Gear does a good job (although I can't stand Jason Plato - so don't watch the show often).

TheCommentator3319d ago

According to what Clarkson said once, it will be a "black muslim lesbian". I'm going to miss that asshole, he was the best!

orakle443319d ago

Look I love Top Gear, love JC, but he physically assaulted a co-worker. You don't get to keep your job if you do that, the BBC had to fire him.

Now I'm hoping the rumors of Netflix picking up the trio comes to reality. A un-censored Top Gear like show, sign me up.

IrishSt0ner3319d ago

Good riddance. It's the format which works.. the show is successful with seperate hosts in other countries.

I used to watch Top Gear religiously, but Clarkson wore on me over time with his sense of entitlement and outrageous insults... he's not a nice human being if you actually understand his political views.. claims to speak for the working man against PC gone mad, yet is as part of the establishment as one can get.

Amazes me people think this guy is down to earth or represnts them in any way.

Also, If I assaulted someone I would be charged and prosecuted, double standards.

Jdoki3319d ago

Yup, a man who drives around in a Ford GT (or used to), sold his share in Top Gear for over 12million, earned a salary of 1million per year paid for by the tax payer, and is a close buddy of the Prime Minster... Is just the sort of 'every-man' that represents me and my lifestyle and represents the average working person!!

It boggles my mind that over 1million idiots would put effort in to signing a petition to reinstate him - and yet petitions that could actually make a difference are ignored.

ScorpiusX3319d ago

Fine not excusable what he did, but all that side MS can still maintain their partnership with TG. They just need to find away to keep Clarkson voice part of the game , for some reason he has a voice as iconic as James Earl Jones. FM6 without the voice is like Vader being a mute .

Inzo3319d ago

Clarkson is Top Gear! Huge blunder from the BBC. They might as well cancel Top Gear now because they lost 4 million viewers just for suspending him and now they are going to lose them all and the right to claim that the BBC has the most watched TV show in the world. Bey bey Top Gear, I would say that it is sad to "see" you go but I wont be watching.

Top 10 Rarest Cars in Forza History

KeenGamer: "See the top 10 rarest cars to ever appear in Forza history! Thousands of cars have been featured in Forza since launch and only a handful of them have been really difficult to obtain or, in current state, impossible to drive around with. Although they were once obtainable, it's only for a limited time and, most times, for a certain price."

What's the benefit of delisting games? Curious.

Italiano12345671715d ago

Theres no benefit. They just dont renew the licenses for the songs and cars so after the 15th u cant buy it

mandingo1715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

Oh licenses. That makes sense. So if you have it digitally already you can still play it you just cant buy it?

Cobra9511715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

Yeah, the expiring-licenses thing is a blight on the scene. There literally ought to be a law. Once something is licensed for a product, it should never become an impediment later on. Simple consumer protection. In racing games, both the cars and the music would be locked in place. The developer can't add newer car models, or different songs. I don't see why that would hurt the profits of car companies or artists. Newer games would have to license the newer cars and songs, or even the same ones.

Edit: mandingo, that's right.

rainslacker1715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

Saving on licensing costs.

@cobra

They could pay more for perpetual licenses, but after 4 years, chances are they arent going to be making much of a return on the game anymore.

lodossrage1715d ago

again, a music license issue. This is the same reason Driveclub is getting delisted next year.

I'm sorry, but if music rights can be the cause of a product being delisted, they need to either have unlicensed music because this is ridiculous. This is actually another reason to be concerned about an all-digital future.

bolimekurac1715d ago

or hopefully when ugly things stick their head out like this music license issue, that the companies do the right thing and find a solution so this doesnt happen, then we can complain if they dont. Digital games is fairly new so why dont we first see if the companies fix these issues that pop up. not that we shouldnt be heard and to let them know about these issues but at least lets not attack them for no reason

lodossrage1715d ago

@bolimekurac,

They've already had years to deal with this. This isn't the first instance of license music altering a game in some form. Crazy Taxi wasn't even allowed to be released with the original soundtrack and many of the real world stores in the game were cut for licenses.

I know it's not exactly' the same, but the issues is close enough that the industry as a whole should have realized this would be a problem even back in the ps3/ 360 era win crazy taxi was re-released for modern day.

traumadisaster1715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

Oh crap idk about drive club, I’m so glad you mentioned it, and I just happen to be in this article. I’ve been wanting that game but was waiting until ps5 to get it. Now i need to check into this cause hell I’ll buy it now if I need to.

It looks like there is a hard copy version, so I can pick that up cheap, the online stuff which I don’t usually do is what goes away in 2020, and it can’t be bought on psn

KickSpinFilter1715d ago

Oh you should def get Driveclub such a great game now after server/updates. One of my all time fav racers. Nice mix of Arcade/Sim. Not Sim, Arcade or Sim/Arcade.

rainslacker1715d ago

I'd highly recommend bikes if you get driveclub. Lots of fun. The vr version is also good if you have psvr.

About the only thing you're going to lose with the delisting is the online functions as well. Driveclub is playable in SP with lots of content though. It's just being part of a club and user challenges or throw downs won't be available after they shut down the servers.

DaDrunkenJester1715d ago

Or it's not that big of a deal since it's a long running franchise and there is already the newer versions you can still buy. If you already own FM6 you can still play it.

spicelicka1715d ago

This is a definitely a huge concern for an all-digital future. Along the fact that they can control whatever price they want you to pay even 5 years later, like Destiny and Call of Duty. You can't even buy the original games anymore, they just re-bundle them and force you to pay full price again.

WiiU-Dude1715d ago

It happens in other entertainment too. I have seen DVD series held up for years because of music licensing issues. It is annoying. I agree with the person that it should be a one time deal. With the creation of a product, things like music licensing should be done with that product going forward. Such a headache apparently.

Good thing physical copies will always exist for purchase in a thriving used game market.

CobraKai1715d ago

There’s at least 3 people who like games being delisted; never to be played again.

Software_Lover1714d ago

But you still have to download the data unfortunately...…..

traumadisaster1715d ago

I just bought this a few months ago on a very cheap sale, then I think recently it was added to game pass.
