The well known market research firm Nielsen recently published a report which is borderline embarrassing for gamers.
"The Spain-based indie games publisher Firenut Games and Granada-based (Spain) indie games developer Trigger the Monster, today announced with great joy and thrill that their dark fantasy adventure/management game “Search of Light” (AKA SOL), is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Game Rant participates in the Megaton Musashi World Cup, checking out the game a little bit beforehand and winning the first round match.
Feral Cat Den return with Nirvana Noir, a sequel to Genesis Noir centering around two different universes, and it truly feels like a bigger bang.
I'm going to guess that the Nielsen survey gave a list of reasons and asked the buyers to choose the reasons that they agreed with, and that's how it ends up reading like this.
The only reason to buy a PS4 right now is (will be) Bloodborne.
There are no good reasons to buy an XB1.
WiiU has a reasonable amount of good games.
Overall this gen makes me feel like consoles in general are in their last years. Maybe one more generation and then they'll be replaced by phones and PCs that can stream to your TV. I mean.... don't tell me this isn't a depressing sight :

Also I believe Nielsen probably interviewed potatoes for this research
Resolution made it to the top of the list for PS4 ^_^.
The only reason I have a PS4 is because I love a lot of Sony's exclusives. While I'm waiting for them I would rather play cross generation games on a system that will run the games better. Plus multiplatform games run better on the PS4 overall. I'm gonna get an Xbone eventually, just waiting on a size reduction because I really don't have anywhere to put the thing right now.
If the Price is Right girl came with the console I would buy another console again.
