There is a reason for that. They think reboot = sales.

Yup they rebooted Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted. Hot Pursuit was okay. MP was fun, but certainly has a few glitches that people take full advantage of in game. Most Wanted with zero cops..... That one is still a puzzle to me. They just made it about racing and no cops. It was kinda like a burnout game. Then they made Rivals which was different. Basically run from the cops until you die risk mode is the whole game in a nutshell. AI sucked, but vs. was decent if you ever could get a group. It was pretty fun compared to most of the recent NFS games.

I guess a reboot wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for this franchise.
I was one of the few that actually liked NFS: Rivals tho.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the lack of car reflections in the road. It looks weird now! It looks like the car is floating or just off.

I honestly would love to see another NFS:HP 2010. That was probably the last NFS I really enjoyed.

Me too. Rivals is kinda fun like that. I liked it alright. Its centered on running from the cops until you can't escape. Most fun is vs. Players and I felt like Rivals didn't have enough of that honestly.

Hot pursuit was great. I didn't like the whole glitching thing in the Multiplayer that people took to doing, but other than that it was awesome.

Could not get use to criterion re-format of controllers system . im used to right analog stick for gas up, break down, left analog stick for steering as in Hotpursuit 2/Underground .
criterion re-format controller to right 1 for gas, left analog stick for steering , X for breaking that was crazy. main reason took hotpursuit,mostwanted,rivals back to retailer could not control the car . glad Gran turismo control setting not messed up .

They could just call it Underground, but that would completely go against the branding/marketing of NFS. Hmmmm, interesting.
