CraveOnline: "Most gamers have, in recent years, discovered the joys of PlayStation Plus. And if you like downloadable games at cheap prices, the service’s joys are numerous. Sony’s pitch is simple: for a mere $10 monthly, you can gain access certain games for free, other games for cheap, and nearly everything on PSN at some kind of discount or another, even if it’s a small one. As a PS3 owner I absolutely adore the service, with one of my most notable steals being Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for less than $10 combined. Of course, with membership costs it wasn’t actually $10, but it felt like it was. Ultimately, that’s what matters."
Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.
That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it
For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.
In Episode 1 of Spot On, a new weekly news show, Gamespot talks about the dangers of chasing a trend.
Playing Destiny 1 on PC has been something fans have been requesting for years. It looks like Destiny 1 is now playable on PC via the RPCS3 emulator.
Sony has been absolutely adored by gamers since E3 2013, but they still need to step it up on a few things. This is one of them. Another is Vita memory cards.
"With Destiny, PSN Can Become the New Xbox Live: That Is, as Long as Sony Doesn’t Screw Up"
That makes ZERO sense.
I dont want psn to become the new xbox live.
1. I don't like paywalls
2. I don't like getting old games for being a gold member (civilization anyone?)
3. I prefer ps+ because its a better value.
You don't just become something that was built over time. Look at amazon.com bestsellers http://www.amazon.com/gp/be... Do you want to know why there is always multiple psn cards up the top? it's because of the 2011 hack, as much as you want to brush it under the rug, people don't trust psn.
You earn reliability over the long term, and XBL has been going strong over 10 years. When you think of online gaming you think of xbox and xbox live, not psn. MLG tournaments are on xbox. Also psn has to start offering dedicated servers on a regular basis to be xbl.
PSN seems great to me. So it buckled a slight bit as millions of people (on two different consoles!!) hit it at the same time to pull the Destiny Beta into their homes. I feel like it has been more stable in the last year than it ever was during the PS3's life.
