I grew up loving Tony hawk pro skater. Then I played skate. I don't think I can go back if I can't use the thumb sticks for tricks.

I completely agree. Skate is just so much more realistic of a skating game, pretty much everything about the game is more realistic than Tony Hawk's.

Which I don't mind so much, but what bothers me about this new one is that it literally looks like the same old Tony Hawk games in HD, even after all these years.

Even the animations look like the same old ones we saw when we were kids. I don't mind Tony Hawk having a more crazy approach to its game, but why can't it also be more realistic as well?

I feel like the skateboarding, which is the entire theme of the game, kind of takes backseat. When it should be the first and foremost most important thing in the game.

You don't play tony hawk for serious realisticness. You play it so you can be darth maul & bust out a 50 trick combo lmfao might be the same sport , but 2 totally different genres

I know that, that's why I pointed it out. I never said they had to take that away from the game, but the skating could still be more challenging and more realistic looking at least.

Especially in 2015, the animations shouldn't look like they came straight out of 1999.

I actually couldn't stand Skate. It was boring and dull, no progression the input for a lot of the tricks were too similar. My first year of college I bought Proving grounds for my ps3 and my roommate bought Skate. He swore up and down Skate was better but we both played Proving Grounds more. But to each his own.

I like the new stuff for THPS5. Graphics is what's really concerning me at the moment. I know graphics don't make the game but heck this ps4. That looks like an ps3 remaster.
