Many moons ago, before the invasion of elitist fanboys, there was a time of peace and respect in the gaming community. A community which valued the opinion of others, a community that would stand by their fellow gamer but alas, these times are a distant, pixelated memory

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.
EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.
Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.
This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.
SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

In the old days it was all about bits, but bits became irrelevant in the gaming community, so they swapped over to something else they could beat off to
The person who wrote this article must not have been around during last gen.
Fanboyism/trolling has definitely gotten worse. Last gen it was pretty bad too, but before that (and internet not being as huge) it didn't really seem to exist as much. To me, it seems like the REAL reason that "resolution wars" are so big now isn't because it makes a huge tangible difference in the final product, but more so because there is a number that fans/fanboys can point to and say "see my console(/opinion) is better than yours...can't argue it, it's science". Which is why when people disagree with those statements, it is usually met with anger and "you're just a stupid fanboy". Using number is supposed to be a "factual" and "final" argument....so it's frustrating when it doesn't work...because the truth is, that while we all love having great looking games...at the level that we are at, games look SO great all the time, it's important but at the end of a long line of other important things. To me, simply having a controller I like better is more important that any resolution differences in the end-state.
My PS4 does have some great looking visuals, absolutely no doubt, but my XB1 is doing all the entertainment heavy lifting around my house. The truth is that it's really all just about games. Betting on a brand name is just going to disappoint you in the long run. Admittedly I like my XB1 more now than my PS4, but it wasn't always that way. I was a Sony Pony for years. Despite having Nintendos, Dreamcast and Xbox and Xbox 360...till about 2010, I used to trash talk all the other systems for not being as good as PS's. Eventually I realized that I was just buying into marketing a little too much, and its okay to like companies, they provide us with great services, but at the end of the day they all need to make money to stay around and support their own interests.
It IS, and SHOULD be about games....even if people are losing sight of that.
Because PS4 has better resolution at the moment and is selling better. Were the X1 to somehow magically exceed that performance, we would go back to taking about which system has better exclusives.
Good question, I have no idea. Has nothing to do with playing games.
