Well there are people who will pay $60.00 for online without the game, so this to me is a no-brainer, lol.

To me this article just shows you the "bias" in the industry, I remember during the christmas holidays XBOX Live crashed because of the volume of users. When Socom: Confrontation crashed based on the volume of users at launch everyone was quick to call it a fail when it was just figuring out how to accommodate for the volume of players at once.

It's getting crazy; but to me this whole entire article wasn't even needed, and goes to show you how much people want Sony to f...

I'll be spending most of my time online and is almost a guarantee that it'll be silky smooth when playing.

"The weapons and supplies you have with you at the beginning of the mission are all you get from HQ."

- IGN, Ryan Geddes [Zipper]

With that quotation in mind, to me sounds like it will be a true tactical game at heart, but I still would have to see this in action before jumping to, too much conclusions.

To me the game just looks like they added more things in the game without really touching the core game-mechanics. To me from looking at trailers, Dark Void had a good formula with jet-packs because there was vertical cover. Jet-packs in Halo to me seems like now the high jumps will be floating jumps, on top of the *regular* high jumps.

Except from all that, it just looks like more of the same things, literally. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare got Mulitplayer game of the year with a...

I was thinking the same thing; how can an online issue affect an offline game? That to me screams, "give me attention" and "TrapperDan" over here just cares about getting to the top of N4G by any means necessary, lol. Both do a poor job at what they do, and reminds me I should find a new website for my gaming news.

I don't think you understand, all I'm saying is if this game does have quality the sales won't reflect that because it's on a Sony platform, while Microsoft's platform quality doesn't matter so much.

"dredgewalker" is right I just should have typed, "people own more Toyota's and Honda's than Ferrari's and Porsche's" even though Toyota's/Honda's can be quality they are nothing when compared to Ferrari's/Porsche's but these vehicles are too expensive for the w...

What you're talking about is subjectivity with a little on perspective, the reason why I say this because subjectivity is unique while perspective how people see things or expect things.

What I was talking about is that while Microsoft developers dish out the same games or very similar to their predecessors get really high reviews. As with Sony games if they manage to achieve a high quality game - quality is defined by graphics, game-play, audio, & value based on facts a.k.a....

I find no matter how much better Sony developers improve on their games they will never get the sales that will equal the amount of quality that reflects. The game I'm looking at is L4D2 being pretty much the same game a year later selling millions followed by anything Halo so far, the Froza series, Ninja Gaiden 2..etc.

I'm not saying this game is worth it or not; but if it is, sales won't reflect that unfortunately and don't get me started on reviews, lol.

I would consider harassment when their is a consistent partner with behaviour. In the video the guy was also complaining about that specific people were playing with him online; that isn't legit?

If you think about it, Microsoft's strategy was to have a cheap price point going in, but costing more in the long run. With Sony they wanted to be expensive in the short run, while being cheap to zero dollars in the long run.

Example:

1) M.A.G. (online only) is $60.00 to buy zero to play
2) Shadowrun (online only) is $60.00 to buy and $60.00 to play (when released)

Yet, people complain about M.A.G. for its price point, but don’t complain about Sh...

I have been thinking this ever since the DLC for Grand Theft Auto 4 being exclusive to the XBOX 360 and is now coming to the PS3. Microsoft seems to focus more about multi-platform games, while Sony focuses more on "real" exclusives. Another thing that makes me think that is Resident Evil 5 DLC to me could have been on the disc from what I was hearing.

This is why I think Sony exclusives have such a high quality (degree of excellence) than XBOX 360 titles. Microsoft is...

That pretty much sums why I think they took it out in the first place and haven't put it back in their console's again. It would defeat the whole purpose of their business with the PlayStation 2.

Because people still play old games it doesn't mean it's still the best. The day a game like "Braid" beats a game like "Crysis" for game of the year will be the same day pigs fly. Like I said in my last comment, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be the best but it increases the chance of it being the best. I said that because better graphics add more to the environments, add more A.I., add more animations etc.

Yet with my comment I wanted to point out that,...

For instance if graphics doesn't play a factor why haven't we stayed in the 2bit era? The 2D gaming has changed dramatically over the years but in it can only go so far. Now with 3D gaming it brings things to a whole new level because of the emersions. So another question comes up, would the first Halo be the same if we stayed in the fifth generation (32-bit era)?

In the end because graphics have improved the animations got better, more effect are introduced, and most of all it w...

I would have to disagree, Halo 3 was more about quantity than game-play (quality) from my experience. It was just a slight update from Halo 2, with Forge and a record feature. Everything was pretty much there from the first game, but now you got to use it instead of the aliens only.

The multiplayer for the most part wasn't any different than the last, and games like Modern Warfare actually improved on its predecessor. That's why it sold so much, and is so popular because it *chan...

I have one word, “gaming” “journalism”. That’s the sole purpose of many gamers hating other gamers. Back in the early days, not that many people listened to gaming journalism, until now.

It isn’t about people’s opinions; it’s about how professional journalist represents their opinions. If you look closely you’ll see some famous journalist be bias in the journalism that will manifest itself to the readers.

In the end, I still choose what I want to buy so who's really ...

And before anyone starts saying that Killzone2 controls were realistic, I still think that lag don't mean heaviness (example: BC2 weapons feel heavy but they are responsive)

..what do you expect the competition to say, if true? This is just PR everyone has their own direction on how to come about it, but it's just business.

Then again I'm not surprised that people are upset, it is a Sony developer; otherwise people wouldn't have cared. It's well known that western developers have that mentality, what makes it different used against them? Microsoft has Ninja Blade people think it's cool, Sony has Heavy Rain people say it isn't a game. Damned if you do...

..this is pretty cool, when Microsoft finally upgrades their games; Sony raises the bar even higher. This game is going to blow people's minds, but I have a feeling once released people will try to find something wrong with it.
