In Feburary a few weeks before GDC, Cliff said that they were planning to announce there new ip during the GDC conference...well that never happened.
I'm guessing they just delayed the announcement and will talk about it after Gears 3.
There's probably still enough time to release a game or 2 before this gen is over (for Cliff) anyways.

Agreed. Why they are deeming this game a sleeper hit, when it's meant to be a game of the year type of game (at least to capcom, and the budget, and the pedigree of the developers behind this) is beyond me.
This is the NUMBER 1 reason why I miss the last gen. Last gen we cared about the GAMES, we cared about whether they would turn out good. Now, all we care about is graphics, textures, frame rate, ugh.
No offense, but with all this focus on graphics, did they remember to make a good game, with a decent plot? Or is the graphics the only reason I should play this game.

Yeah. It's strange, because I'm a huge Enslaved fan (as strong as some of the fan critics are), but I'm still confused how polar the 2 games are.
Enslaved was far from a perfect game, and had a pelothera of issues, yet scored really highly with critic. Hell even EDGE gave Enslaved a 8.
Yet here's Alice, which is just as imperfect, but still DOES A shit ton things right, and get's a 5/10 from some reviewers? This just BOGGLES my mind.
It is though. Besides portal 2, I don't think I've played a more artistic, and enjoyable game. Not perfect, but still better than most.
Incredible game...though, most of you probably know that by now by reading my constant praises. But, honestly it's true. This game is CRIMINALLY underrated. The game has flaws, but a 5/10? Give me a break. It's an incredible game that is defintly a game of the year contender in my book.
People who have in any reservations based off the reviews, please, for the love of god just go with your gut, and purchase it. I seriously doubt you'll regret it.

Essentially. But it's still a new ip. That's why it's not called Demon Souls 2 (since Sony has the ip for that now).
Same with Child of Eden, it's a spiritual successor to Rez, but it's still defined as a new ip.
