The last of us 2 being announced
CD Projekt Red has put in so much detail into their games, take the two dlcs of the witcher 3. Theyre almost enough to be seperate games on their own
Bethesda
Charles Dance as The Emperor was fantastic in The Witcher 3
Ken Levine and his work in Bioshock never seems to be mentioned anymore
Hidetaka miyazaki, the worlds he creates is full of hidden depth and packed with story. Legendary characters like Havel the Rock were so interesting to learn about, through item descriptions and snippets of information. He is amazing with the dark souls franchise under his belt.
Lambert Lambert what a prick
Geralt of fcking Rivia.
Cause he's badass and funny
Horror games for me have stayed the same for a while now, after the developer of dead space is gone, I just can't find anything that scares me without using jump scares. Naturally I've played Resident Evil but its hard to stay interested without any other scary games. Maybe I'm wrong and there's loads of good ones that I havent heard of.
But I'd like to see a horror game not afraid to go all in and make you quesy and actually terrified. I think theres a lot potent...
Rpgs, its like being escaping to another world with interesting characters and plots. Then being whoever you want to be, have a say on the matters around you, interact with the world of the witcher or skyrim. Then there's becoming stronger and stronger with each level getting new abilities until you become an unstopable badass
Hate to repeat but not when its worth repeating
Lootboxes.
Although its already been said by many, I still think it has to be the VR.
Theres something special putting that headset on and totally immersing yourself in a different world like Skyrim or having a heart attack in resisdent evil. Its a huge leap forward compared to even 10 years ago and we still have a long way to go, Can't wait to see what the next generation has on store for the VR.
Personnally 'Heavenly Sword'. Everything you can think of was terrible. The graphics, controls, camera angle, the gameplay, the story. I apoligize for those who enjoyed but for me it was utterly abysmal
I'll have to go with Dark Souls with The Witcher 3 as a close second.
Dark souls got me through some tough times despite it being rage inducing (Pikachu and Snorlax if you know what I mean) I just cant help but get lost in the interwoven map and deep lore as well as Solaire
PRAISE THE SUN
Has to Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo. God, unwrapping that on Christmas has to be one of my favourite childhood memories
God of war
