Hold on. I didn't say casuals will "save" gamez. I said there are millions of gamers and getting them to buy games will be good for the industry.
There's plenty of shovelware now. Nothing will change. There's plenty of crappy hardcore games.
If anything casual gamers will subsidize hardocre game development. Casual gamers don't buy as many games as hardcore gamers, and buy lots of arcade games and avatar stuff.
...
Then you and Sony have nothing to worry about.
What's the hypocrisy? It doesn't need a controller, why not add the option for when it's appropriate.
I'm not getting a Kinect but I am interested in navigation without controllers. If you're going to use a controller to navigate with motion, just use the controller.
But, if it can also use a controller for gun peripherals or something, why not?
Casuals go nuts over jumping around handsfree, hardcore gamers may want ...
Oni was definitely underrated.
Good review. I felt the same only I almost didn't buy it after the terrible demo. The reviews convinced me and I agree it is a great game, and great looking.
It's getting knocks for the platforming, i.e. you can't die like Uncharted. But it's clear you've played Uncharted as you are aware of the tips button. The only way to die is to basically jump into a void and all you do is do it over, so I actually prefer what Enslaved did. No, you can't just in...
Actually, a 4-hr game for a hardcore gamer is probably 10-12 for a casual gamer. Most people play a few hours a weekend.
Harcore gamers buy/rent just about every game in their preferred genres and play them in marthon sessions. Usually completing a game in a weekend. I don't even know how you can enjoy story and art just plowing through games but to each his own.
That is why Kinect is going to be good for the industry. There are millions of casual gam...
Well written. Spot on.
Now you know why Lionhead is making this divisive topic a focal point. When selling, negative publicity is as good as positive. The only bad publicity is none.
Tells me the game is going to be as big a letdown as Fable II or they'd be pushing the gameplay and not creating incindiary headlines. Maybe Molyneux wants to be on Oprah after Kinect.
I just don't get it. Honest discussions about this subject matter are viewed as offensive and closed, while comments such as send gays to hell, or blow their heads off remain.
I guess extreme fanatical hate is easier to deal with that biological realities. :/
No more gay threads for me. Why is gayness suddenly a gaming topic anyway. There's just something wrong with that.
If mansex was "natural" two men could procreate.
Homosexuality in humans is a birth defect. Just like hermaphrodites born with both sex organs. It is the extreme.
male's brains receive too much femal hormone or not enough male hormone during the time the brain is developing and thus becomes feminized, though things get back in sync and physically their genitals fully develop to be male.
women receive too much male or not ...
First I'm not defending the game. I stating what I think of it. Apparently, you are blindly attacking it so yu think I must be defending it.
Yes, I bought and played Uncharted 2. HS and ENSLAVED have superior acting and story IMO. But UC2 also had excellent acting. Heavy Rain, not interested at all, took a pass. Alan Wake, not interested but I did see a Demo at Best Buy and thought about it, but I'm really not into flashlight games of any kind.

Last time I checked, kids were gamers too.
Oprah
Actually, given the appearance on Oprah, if it was marketing before, it's probably really a shortage now.
Appears you and MS understimated the power of an outing on Oprah!
You just finished my favorite chapter. Chapter 4 with the Mech Dog was awesome. The script and voice acting when the mech dog first appears is second to none, only Heavenly Sword comes close, when Kai is hung from the bridge.
I have not gotten through without dying. I want to go back to do that. I thought I had it after getting the power cell, but the first trip across the bridge behind the car got me.
You can bash your way through, and that might get repetitive, hasn't yet. But I know I can replay most levels and fight 50% less with better strategy.
It's not odd. Look at all the reviews. The overwhelming majority like it, a lot. The majority of those who are complaining clearly have some fanboy issues with Ninja Theory as "they" state. Because NT talked trash on Sony or because they went multiplat, whatever.
The Demo is not the game, not indicative at all, and that's NT's fault. And maybe it's fair to judge it by the Demo. I know I did. I said I wouldn't buy it after the demo but there wer...
After 52 weeks, the much heralded, and deservedly so, Uncharted 2 has sold 1.8 million. That's a little less than 40k per week.
So for being out 2 weeks against Halo: Reach, Castlevania, and Kinect (arriving on 11/4) hype. That's not bad at all. Given the high number of positive 8+ reviews, no judgment can be made for some time, well past Christmas.
Utterly ridiculous. Obviously the columnist had nothing to write about.
This game won't go away. I may have to give it a try ...
