Indie devs are so full of themselves. I love a good indie game as much as the next guy, but the people who make them are insufferable sometimes.
I don't even love Infinite, and I'm still rolling my eyes.
After watching the interview, the answer is no.
Root > It's clearly the same engine and the same gameplay, even the same button layout. If this wasn't called Far Cry, people would be saying "OMG Far Cry 3 with a sci-fi skin ! What a rip-off !"
More to the point, they used their ressources after making Far Cry 3 to give us something that is not just "more of the same". Who the fuck cares what it's called ?
So the game picks up immediatly after Peace Walker, Big Boss and Miller look identical, so does Outer Heaven, Miller has the same voice actor, but... it's a "new Metal Gear" ?

That not really a good analogy. If Kojima wants to make "new songs", he just needs to stop making Metal Gear games, which would be fine by me. Snake is more of a player in the Metal Gear band if you will.

Let's not be crazy, Skyrim is not as widely unique as something like Morrowind, but it's not completely devoid of creativity. Not any more than The Witcher 2 (which I loved) with its dragons and elves and dwarves.
Or maybe he played a bootleg version of Solitaire in front of the fans.
If it's a good game, then great. I'll probably play it. I'll judge it on its own merits and you never know, it might be the best action game of the decade (doubt it).
That doesn't change the fact that they're taking the series in the wrong direction. People still want good survival horror games.
PS3 is also february. Hearthfire and Dawnguard should come later that month also.
Ok, timed exclusivity for dlc sucks really bad, no question about that, it should not happen, but I'm more than happy to play Skyrim on the PC. Yeah you have to wait a little longer but the game looks better, runs better, and has amazing mod support. You don't get to call yourself a second rate customer when the version you're playing is superior in every way.
Making this free on day one would've been the thing to do. I'm not really on the side of die hard fans saying the new Dante is shit, but this game has been getting so much shit over this that it would've been a win-win situation. Instead people will be even more pissed.
