I love Bluepoint and the work they do but to me if Kojima is not attached it's not really Metal Gear. That's just how I feel about it. That said, I would still play it.
Moby Games says hello. Been around for a while but not the most complete databases.
It's only exclusive to XBox while its in early access because Sony isn't a fan a early access games on PS4. That's literally the only reason we are not seeing it on PS4 yet.
The point of my post was in reference to the article, that a racing sim like Forza being able hit that target on the One X with room to spare is not surprising at all. It's not the kind of game that is really going to push the hardware that hard. Whether NFS can hit it or not depends entirely on NFS. I have no earthly idea how long the tracks are, what all is going on in the game besides car chases or what is going on "under the hood" so to speak in that game but I can assure...
NFS isn't just a racing game. Explosions, particles effects, open world track, dozens and dozens of NPC cars on the road, a lot of gameplay elements that are not found in a racing sim like Forza. Standard racing games are easier on hardware, that's a fact not an opinion. And just because someone hasn't released a 4K 60fps racing game on PS4 Pro yet in the 8 months since it came out only means no one has made one yet, not that it cannot be done.
Toon shaders are harder to calculate as they require heavy use of edge detection.
That's because its a racing game. Racing games are notoriously cheap on system resources. That's why there is almost always a new racing game for a console launch and they always look great.
I see the point you are trying to make here but Net Neutrality is really not an issue of free speech. That is a whole different thing entirely that needs to be dealt with separately. Net Neutrality is all about whether the government is going to allow ISPs to charge online content providers a ton of money for you to get said content. This would force the content providers to charge the consumer more money for the same service they are already getting. Essentially extorting money from cont...
@Gh05t It sounds like you don't really understand the issue. Net Neutrality is not about every ISP going the same speed its about all traffic on a single ISP going the same speed. And as for the stifling and limiting innovation argument, that's complete and total BS and if you actually watched John Oliver's segment, he addresses this. The CFO of Verizon said himself in an investor conference call, which he is legally required to tell the truth in, that Net Neutrality rules woul...
That is Net Neutrality. No data being transferred over the internet should be treated any more or less importantly than any other data being transferred over the internet. That's the point. That's literally the entire point of Net Neutrality.
If this was part of a real reveal article, why are the only images contained in it concept art? There are always gameplay screenshots in those things too.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was built using the same Photogrammetry tech. Battlefront used this tech extensively. Metal Gear Solid 5 is the game that really introduced Photogrammetry to games. This stuff is already in use a lot more games than people realize. He's just using higher resolution textures and meshes in these examples. Sadly there are a lot of types of objects that just cannot be photoscanned (anything translucent or overly shiny).
Gaming is, and has been for quite some time, about immersion. Immersion IS about taking you out of reality and putting you in the game world. Immersion IS NOT taking the game world out of the TV and putting it on your coffee table. Microsoft isn't pushing Hololens as a gaming device because even they know its applications in that field are limited at best. In the commerical and industrial worlds, it can be a game changer though.
Thank you, iRamGamer. Please read the PM I sent you.
I'm not trying to be a dick about it, just being honest.

Go ahead, tell me I don't know anything about 3D game art.
Why is this in the hottest news everytime there is an update? Artists do this sort of stuff all the time and this quite honestly is not that good at all.
For all the hate its getting by critics, me and all my friends that are playing it are all having a blast. Not a excellent game by any means but still a lot of fun to play.
It most likely just exports an .obj or .fbx file that can be read by just about any 3D application. Pretty cool idea but the VAST majority of people will have no idea how to work with these files.
If you didn't play it yourself from beginning to end then your opinion of it doesn't matter. The majority of those who did loved it. That's why it's winning so many awards. Quit basing your opinions on click baiting YouTubers.
