the thing is, your argument isnt 1080p vs 4k. its plasma vs led vs oled.
plasma and oled both have better color reproduction than led, because plasma and oled dont use a backlight. the backlight is what makes led look washed out, compared to plasma or oled.
i dont disagree with you that oled looks great. however, this isnt a 1080p vs 4k issue

for gaming, your first priority should be display lag. the lower the lag the better, obviously.
other than that, any of the newer 4k sets should look great in terms of picture quality. just do some research, as some sets have worse backlight bleed than others (if youre getting an LED tv).

yes, media player is there. however, your current game needs to be suspended if you want to change your music. obviously this isnt good at all if you are playing a multi-player game. the media player also, for some reason, pauses music for a second when you hit the ps button to get back to your homepage. usb player did...
