What's funny about this is that mobile games have seen more innovation and genuinely solid gameplay than what we've got on consoles & PC these days. That's sad.
Don't mind him. Fanatics always try to discredit a reviewer if they say something they don't wanna hear. Attacking the person rather than the criticism.
I don't think this will be worth it until we have 4K monitors that are 144hz capable.
^Maybe, but my point is that the verbiage the press (and it's long since spilled over to the community) uses is sensationalist and premature. Quite frankly, there ain't no 'evers' and 'of all times' until time comes to an end. Something of higher graphical fidelity (or gameplay, or story, ot whatever) is right around the bloody corner...at all times. When they're coming up with these silly lists of superlatives, I really think that people should come back down to...
Speaking of which, the terms "ever" and "of all time" really need to go away for a while. These games are always the best things EVER until...next month when the new best thing of all time is released.
Mmm hmm. We've heard that before. In fact, we heard it last generation.
Scorpion looks ridiculous. What's with all the belts? Dude looks like a BDSM reject. They should've kept his costume from Deadly Alliance. Game was awful, but Scorpion has never looked better.
We may as well start calling them big budget games as well. A killer app or AAA game to me is one that is exceptional. Needless to say, there haven't been many recently.
As paying customers and a dedicated fanbase, people have the right to complain. At the heart of the matter is that it takes away time and resources from something new and potentially more exciting. People are waiting for announcements of new games, not old ones. I don't see anything wrong with pointing that out.
Wow. In a decade, we'll all look back and see that this generation of consoles was defined by last gen ports, or excuse me, "HD remasters".
This is getting out of hand.
I don't think any trophies are worth it, personally.
I'd love it if in-game unlockables came back to replace this trophy/gamerscore nonsense.
It's about as plausible as the excuses, attacks, and false logic that fanatics have been using to discredit people who are critical of the game. The pendulum swings both ways, but the fanboys take the cake here, as instead of responding to the message, they'd rather attack the messenger. It's part of the cycle of fanboy angst - They declare that they like a game for reasons A, B, and C; others say they dislike a game for reasons X, Y, and Z, and then the fanatics instantly go into...
Fanatics blowing their proverbial gaskets as per usual.
It's funny how you guys want the world to respect your opinions, yet everyone who disagrees with you about your pet games are evil bullies with an ax to grind.
The ones who scream the loudest about bias are the most biased themselves. All of these half assed conspiracy theories and false equivalencies do a pretty good job of highlighting the insecurities of people in this community.
...
Those are almost good excuses. Almost.
So in other words, they're not fit to review games in the same way that you are. Perhaps every publication should consult with you before they review a game, just to make sure that they "get it right".
Apparently, there's no such thing as a difference of opinion anymore. Disagree with a fanatic and you're just wrong, end of story. A lot of you need to get some perspective.
"I don't care about reviews/rely on them to tell me w...
People who act like this are cut from the same cloth. We all know this by now. We've seen it already that titles on both sides of the fence have been criticized for underperforming, and with that, fanatics never fail to go into attack mode. Same story, different chapter.
There goes the common fanboy red herring again. You guys will tell yourselves anything to feel comfortable in your own skin won't you? If this site gave it a positive review, I'm sure the rhetoric would go thusly - "Damn, look at how wide the appeal is for this game, even an obscure gadget site loved it!"
I've read this book all too many times before. Grow up and get some perspective; everyone who doesn't confirm your fantasies about this game isn...
"x1/ps4 biggest let down in gaming history imo"
This I can agree with. Ever since the news before that these systems were based on tablet architecture, I began to worry, but it's become clear that it isn't just the hardware that's become gimped, it's the abilities and intentions of the dev teams as well. The funny thing is, if you go by what the fanatics say, everything right now is the best thing ever, or whatever the hyperbole of the month is at the time. I...
It's also flooded with biased fanatics accusing everyone who doesn't agree with them of being biased.
These remasters send the message that the PS3/360 generation was merely a stopgap while we waited around for today, where the games could be fully realized by the technology.
The sad part is that the difference in visual fidelity and framerate is usually negligible.
