This is Lachrymosity's first review on the site and she's done an absolutely stellar job.

I can hardly be described as a 'casual' strategy gamer. (I wrote this review, and turn-based strategy is kind of my speciality)

I've actually gone into the difference between the old game and the new one in the article. It's not dumbed down, it's different / streamlined.

The original game was great, one of my all-time favourites but to say it didn't have huge flaws of its own, would be looking through rose-tinted glasses. It had huge f...

Same here :-)

I don't like Starcraft 2 and the team member who played it didn't think it was that good. The map sharing difficulties made it far less good than it could have been. Each to their own.

And I suppose you don't consider all the console kiddies who get a chip in their console to be pirating?

Pirating is just as much an issue on consoles as it is on the PC, so please get to know the subject before making such sweeping comments.

First paragraph already states that we get it's a joke - we just think it's a really poor one. To each their own.

Helps if you read the article - no pc gamer is getting dissed in it, I can assure you that. (No gamer is getting dissed full stop, that's the whole point of the article)

Agreed - though I have a Xbox 360 rather than a PS3 :-) The main drawback of the PS3 was that it had no backwards compatibility at the time, otherwise we would have bought that instead. (We had a ton of PS2 games, which we've since given away)

The Xbox is used more frequently as a Media Player than as a gaming machine these days - but we did go through a phase of playing it quite a lot.

Anyway, I am glad you agree - it's not about console vs PC but ab...

You will be able to play the MMORPG alone if you desire - it's very much created with roleplaying in mind. The developers call it KotoR 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 all in one.

Don't exclude it from your attention just because it will be an MMO - it actually looks really interesting for people who aren't interested in the whole social aspect of it as well!

Couldn't agree more.

Mana Pool is PC only so the chance that they are going to review GT5 is somewhat slim.

Catering for people who DON'T want to play online is important, even if YOU don't think it is. Like the reviewer in question, I would only play such a game offline as well or with friends at the very best. If a game doesn't sufficiently cater for that but others in the genre do, it's perfectly reasonably to cut marks.

If you want to argue with the reviewer o...

I don't believe such a system exists.

I just add games I would like to have on my wish list and check that periodically. Your wish list includes the current price - so you will quickly spot bargains that you were looking for.

Darn, deceiving subject... I thought for a moment they were remaking "VGA Planets" and then it was just some unrelated news :(

A little part of me died inside.

We're all hoping for a massive 'sale of wallet depletion +5'.

This series of Coolermaster cases is honestly fantastic. Highly recommended to people who are building a new PC. Either the full tower or mid tower version will do, depending on your need.

You would be surprised how many people don't! Those who do can probably chip in with some advice of their own.

I have the same experience - but since I've used Microsoft Security Essentials I found that it is even better :) Definitely worth trying!

Windows 7 automatically defrags your hard drives on default settings. ;-) You probably just never noticed.

This game is looking like it could be a great choice for some co-op action during the colder months :) Well worth looking into, especially at the price they plan to release it at.
