Streaming games has nothing to do with the user's pc. If the game didnt look as good as the console version, then that had something to do with Rocksteady/Onlive, not the user's pc.

I don't think the Japanese care. Hell, i'm American and even I sold my 360. It just doesn't satisfy my tastes. Also I like deeper games, just like the Japanese tend to also prefer.

I agree. Also hope Kojima shows the new MGO (metal gear online). That and Killzone series had some great multiplayer.

Well, at the very least, PS4 gamers can still play campaign mode and single player games without needing to log-in online. Unlock the Xbox One.
And that's worst case scenario. Besides, if it's only for the online portion of games, then who cares? If u can't get online to play it in the first place, then what difference does it make to someone with no internet. And if u CAN get internet, then it can do a check while u connect. But at least it won't effect OFFLI...

Yeah but why not just make a new I.P. then? What's the point in putting these companies on these games if all they are going to do is make them unrecognizable to their fanbase. I like it when games do new things, but this article just has the wrong teams set-up for the wrong franchises IMO.
Terrible opinion piece. Almost all of these games were paired with companies that don't fit the game's style.
Even if Sony used online passes, at least we were able to play the campaign versions of games without it. So it's only fair since online games require money to keep the servers running.
However, M$ will NOT allow u to play any portions of a used game disc. Not even the campaign portion.
Also the fact that Microsoft got caught SPYING on people's Skype conversations says alot about this mandatory Kinect and Mic-being-always-on feature.
I hope it's for THIS generation, because we need more hardcore game companies to push back Xbox's tv-centred, casual-audience based focus.
Cloud technology, combined with an Indie focus, Nintendo's talented teams/franchises, and if Iwata really is combining the portables division WITH the console division (I always thought the portable division was better--those guys get great 3rd party love)...Then I can see Nintendo making a HUGE comeback.
