When the developer charges the gamer a fee to attend an exclusive event, the attendees deserve better. Also, don't kill the goose that lays the golden egg for you. Comprende?
No they won't. What? Just because they started to buy a few studios to make games, they're going to dominate?
I'm betting this is another troll announcement, Duke Nukem anyone?
Whenever it comes to money, greed will win out and promises will be broken. EA's promises are a laugh.
Somebody's bleeding. Some change (but still somewhat anti consumer) in tune seeing their market shrinking
Star Citizen and mining coins....take your pick!!!
It's EA. They'll find a way to fudge it all up, and I'm saying this nicely.
Yes the game looks fantastic especially in 4k, but I think watching clothes spin in a dryer is more exciting than this. Boring gameplay to me and looks to be a pretty generic shooter trying to get in to the action against Fortnite. My opinion though.
This looks more to be a technology demo than an actual game, to showcase their so-called cloud processing and capabilities, cuz if they were to have concentrated on it as being a game first, it would have launched much earlier. Bets on that this is going to fail as a game, mediocre at best.
If you ask me, EA should just shut the fuck up and keep their filthy hands and mouth off this one, and let Bioware lead with this.
Highly likely is that they kept a few maps out for micro-transactions or map packs to be purchased.
BS article about a console platform from a magazine called PCGamer. Anyone see the irony? Also, which gamer who identifies as a PC elitist would want to play with a console gamer except to cheat and pown those players to feel good about themselves?
Clickbait article with a very controversial title. This article is part interview, part commentary and part opinion. Please address it as such.
They made their decision, was being so protective about it and being high and mighty about reasons, and now suddenly they crumble at the slightest drop in pre-orders. My oh my, where are your convictions now?
To Tekolie,
It's money-tizing the platform they designed for. Sony is a platform provider (Same as MS), and they provide a platform upon which other companies can design their game on to run on for customers who buy in to the platform. It's in the interest of Sony (who gambled and built a platform for 3rd party game companies to moneytize upon) and 3rd party game companies interest to have the game on the platform as well as the gamers who buy in to the platform. ...
I'm guessing that's his story for when they do. Clickbait achived !!!
It's their platform, and it's up to them if they want it supported or not. Also, if Epic and MS were so adamant, they can just withdraw their game from PSN, but then again, when it comes to money greed wins out and Epic and MS would just as well shoot themselves in the foot then to lose out on the money coming from players on the PS platform.
That's why Sony has the moniker "For the Players" while Microsoft is all "Developers, developers, developers" with their ex-CEO galloping all around the stage to huge applause from the developers in the audience.
There's good and there's bad. Then again, the audience will be the ones who dictate if developers do support the platform. After all, "It's all about the money".
It's real funny seeing all these people ...
First gen, Never go in for first gen, cuz you're the guinea pig and we all know what happens to guinea pigs.
RT may play a role in future, but I don't see it being important as of now. What's more important is that we have a graphics card that is able to render all assets in details all the time as far and close up as the eye can see with no pop in or distance pop out. Able to render in full details all the time with no ugly blurred up texture making up distan...
They better not be implementing hairworks or whatever in to the game.
