The success of this titles is to the assumption that people will spend 2-3 hours designing a level... so, they can play it with their friends.... and that it's not get old...
Character customization is also great... but eventually get's old and seem to maintain interest only on MMO games...
System seller? I don't know about that... I have a hard time seing the PS3 and the xbox 360 as casual kids consoles just because one or 2 games are release for them. I'm not undermind...

We don't know much about Sony's IPTV... We know a lot about Microsoft's IPTV service... which will be delivered via huge service providers and will come with features that will compete with existing cable service providers. Sony's IPTV sounds more like "We have IPTV too" kind of thing. It better not be like PSN that was designed to complete with XBox live and there is not much competing going on... Sony's IPTV better not be some random service that can be done on any PC and supporte...

The $400 SKU will help Sony sell consoles for the 1st month... just like the $100 price they did during E3... for the following reasons...
1) It's not a Price drop.. it's a hardware downgrade.
2) $400 is still too high for a game console. Ask those people still buying a PS2.

Kind of funny... No one is saying that the PS3 can't run at 1080P.
Why does it bother Sony fanboys so much that the xbox 360 is also capable of runing at 1080P too? Nothing pisses Sony fanboys more than to know that the xbox 360 can do something that the PS3 can.
What's the big deal? As proven by the list of games available on both system... 1080P does not make it a good game... and to make things even better.... it seems like graphical intensive games with large levels and deta...

You Sony fanboys take it as written on stone.... then another article is posted that prove the list was innacurate... and what do we get from Sony fanboys? It does sound kind of fake... "3x Gigabit ethernet ports"?... but then again... it does sound like the specs of a server... maybe this SKU is aim at universities or to people interested in using the PS3 as a server ala @Folding.... I can't imagine how much this would cost if true.
ok enough! Both Microsoft and Sony need to stop making new SKUs... and simply dropping prices... specially when the SKU specs are different... now people will need a college education to know which one to buy... enough! Concentrate on the game.. and making the console cheaper! no more SKU!
wow.. kudos to Sony... for being able to have so many games runing at 1080P!... Two things I wish... 1) I wish everyone would have a 1080P (including myself) to be able to see the big deal.. 2) And that 1080P would automatically make games AAA or 10/10 games... so we don't have to see in HD how much most of those games suck! Also... kind of suck how even with the 1080P capabilities so many of those games (if not all) got less score than the xbox 360 version... or even look better on the xbox ...
