This was only ever a question back in the SNES/Genesis days.
There's always one. "Let's be honest" LET'S be honest he says. How about you speak for yourself?
*Yawn*
It's voice acting, B. You don't know what you're talking about.
I don't agree with the episodic idea either, but you're being ridiculous. Get some perspective.
The fact that you've got such an overwhelming amount of disagrees just shows how brainwashed gamers have become over the years. I don't care how you sycophants want to slice it - newer, *quality* exclusives should always be preferred to hi-res re-releases of older games. George Carlin was right in that consumers willfully love to bend over and take it from their corporate masters. There was a time when the gaming community demanded a higher standard, but apparently that's no lo...
Interesting. So, why exactly is IGN not corrupt for this review like they are for their reviews of Halo, CoD, and The Order, again?
Vaporware, unfortunately.
This article is awful.
To the author, especially since you have no comment system on your website, if you're going to utilize a list format like this, then go into *detail* about the items on said list.
For example, you list the "V System", but don't make any effort to elaborate on what it entails. Fail.
"There's a beta test cuz that's just what games do LOL."
This "article" isn&...
That an article needs to be titled something like this speaks volumes about the state of gaming today.
I'm sure you're asking because of my avatar, but I think MK is downright awful these days. If I had to choose, it's still my favorite fighter franchise of all-time, but none of the recent games hold a candle to MKII.
Sure though, I do think it's nice to expect new characters every month or so. Still, 100 new characters can't fix a broken template.
No more radical than a typical MOBA.
Some fans want updates and additions to the gameplay as well. *shrugs*
The way I look at it, if I want FF7 vanilla, then I'll boot up my PS1 and have at em. I believe that the remake should honor the game while also updating it. Keep the essence of it, but improve upon it. It's not as though FF7's battle system was infallible.
Hyperbole. Not similar AT ALL? Please. What's been possible with regard to gameplay, visuals, and music has evolved in the last 15 years. That's a perfectly fitting comparison.
Uh...it better. That's like saying they should keep the OST at MIDI quality, or still have blocky, PS1 graphics.
Let it evolve, so long as it's of *quality*.
It isn't as though he has no reason to be; the precedence for this sort of thing has long since been set. Better to have tempered expectations so you don't end up disappointed anyway. I myself doubt it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
And I'm not disputing that. What I'm saying is that it's silly to declare that the game will make us forget about *anything* since we haven't had it in our hands to play for ourselves yet. I'm as enamored with the presentation and idea as anyone else, but I'm not gonna go about making any bold claims until I've played it.
The hyperbole is strong with this one. The game may be better than we think, but then again, it could also be a disappointment. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
As excited as I am for this, I can't shake the feeling that this is a last ditch effort for SE to save their reputation. If they had the same pedigree as a studio as even 15 years ago, I'd be on the hype train, but for now...cautious optimism.
If it was, then it wouldn't be evident this quickly, nor would it need an editorial trying to convince us why it is.
