Nintendo is changing Mario ‘bad guy’ Foreman Spike’s name in Japan

The company announced that the character of Spike, who originally first appeared in the 1984 video game Wrecking Crew and whose original Japanese name was “Blackie,” will officially be renamed as Spike across all regions.

I don’t see a issue with the old name 🤷🏿 but in this day and age I can see how a it might be considered insensitive and racist, Nintendo don’t want a backlash from it so they’re changing the local name to the other mayor regions name hopefully in the future they don’t change Mario voice as it’s is a more offensive stereotype of a Italian.

Fun games but too bad the online isn't worth the money and you have to pay extra juice to have a wired connection but handcuffs yourself if you want to play in handheld mode

Well me and my friends got the family membership together and pay roughly £4 a year each for online, which I think anyone would agree is worth it

Not being able to message people on the system to ask them if they want to play something plus their first party games are peer to peer so the games can get pretty laggy since not everyone has has amazing internet
