Fracture: IGN Preview - 'create some sizable craters'

IGN writes: "By far the coolest weapon we saw was the vortex grenade, which when tossed and detonated creates a swirling gravity well that sucks up all land, enemies, and objects in the vicinity. This game has been bobbing along under the radar abit...I didn't even realise it was this close to release that people were doing previews.
It look a bit close to Haze, but I really do hope this does bring something new to the table.

Terrain deformation done on next-gen consoles certainly has potential. Can you open little canyons right under the opponents for them to fall into? That would be tight. Anyway I look forward to hearing more about this.

Terrain deformation has been done to some extent before on last gen consoles. Red Faction anyone?

But the implementation looks a bit sub par.

Games in a time of climate change
