"Platformers and ‘endless mode’ games are probably the most popular games being developed and sold on the App Store. The success of games like Jetpack Joyride and Doodle Jump have spurred many developers to create similar experiences, hoping to snag a piece of that lucrative pie. Into this crowded market leaps Air Jump.
Air Jump’s goal is to be a game that taps into the “'synergy between good old Platformers and role-playing games.”' Does it succeed in doing so?"
GodisaGeek: "It’s Monday afternoon and that means two things. Firstly, the first day back at work after the weekend is almost over, and secondly, it’s time for another GodisaGeek.com Mobile Monday. This week we’ve got Finger Puppet Frenzy, a whack-a-mole type game with finger puppets, Air Jump, a move-left-to-right game with a little bit of a twist, Froggies, a game which tasks the player with jumping over frogs to solve puzzles and finally Blockolicious, a ‘match-3′ game with a difference that is just about as addictive as anything else out there."
Pixel Scribes"Frustration is the most pertinent word that springs to mind when reviewing Air Jump; a side scrolling platform RPG game brought to you by Avallon Alliance. I had every mind in slating the jungle based endless jumper, especially when comparing it to other similar formatted games such as Jetpack Joyride (a free game and amazingly addictive, I recommend). However after playing Air Jump several more times I realised I was actually wasting a lot of time on it trying to build up my score and that perhaps this game is frustrating but in an entirely positive way."
