Wii's Cruis'n gets 2/10 from GamesRadar

Gamesradar writes:

"Despite dubious origins, Cruis'n is more or less the same loose racer that rocked arcades and the Nintendo 64 in the mid-90s. Except that it's now 2007, and nobody apparently bothered to tell the folks at Midway and Just Games Interactive. To say Cruis'n looks like a higher-resolution N64 game at times is neither hyperbole nor as ironically entertaining as you might expect - and that says nothing for the wonky controls, inconsistent gameplay, and generally horrifying presentation."

First Daytona, now this. I'd love to see another Rush game.

Servbot412731d ago

I was all for this, until I saw that there's only 5 tracks.

Segata2731d ago

It's an arcade game. Daytona had 3.

Servbot412731d ago

Great, so it manages to almost have twice as many tracks as a game released over twenty years ago. I thought we'd be beyond that a fair bit at this point.

Segata2731d ago

You fail to understand it's an arcade game so don't know what to tell you.

Razputin2731d ago

Hell, I'd like a nice rerelease of all these old school arcade racers. Cruis'n, Rush, Outrun, and the such. They were all great fun.

CaptainN2731d ago

Hope to see this on the Nintendo Switch sometime in the future. Maybe even a launch, with some wishful thinking !!

Gunstar752731d ago

Cruisin was crap. Was never a good arcade game.

I Remember Spending My Days Cruis’n

Gamers-Association- "I’ve never been a fan of realistic simulation like racing games. No matter how pretty your Forza or Gran Turismo game looks I just won’t find it fun. Video games are supposed to be a form of escapism, but I drive places all the time; so these games just aren’t fun for me. This is probably why I like kart racing and arcade style racing games. Lucky for me kart racing games are as popular as ever, there always seems to be a new awesome one on the horizon. But a lot of my favorite ridiculous arcade style racing games just aren’t around anymore. In particular, I miss Cruis’n."

'Pac-Man (Atari 2600)'

Whaaaaaat? Pac-Man on the Atari 2600 rules.

Philoctetes4663d ago

Sadly, I actually owned both Pac-Man and ET for the 2600 when I was a kid, which probably explains why I'm so jaded and cynical today.

The Matrix4663d ago

Haze - first game that came to mind.

Final Fantasy IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XXIII, XIX, XX

Lol, no.

You want to see a truly awful RPG? Try something like Chaos Wars. It makes even the worst FF games look like masterpieces: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
