Easily the best game I've ever played.

guitarded774518d ago

While I agree that it's one of the best games I've ever played, I don't think any game with bugs should receive a 10/10 and that goes for Uncharted 3 and Skyward Sword as well. It's like saying "Oh she's a perfect 10 except for the fact she has tiny creepy tyrannosaurus arms". Anyway, excellent game.

I dont think its even the best in the series. Skyrim starts off quicker and better, but morrowind still tops it. Im not even sure its a better game than the witcher 2 or skyward sword.

This game is crack!!! I'm addicted and cannot put it down. The more you progress, the better it gets.

Pray for me my fellow gamers....., LOL!

Bigpappy4518d ago

That my sentiment. I have to force myself not to play it to late, as it could affect my job and make me foget what I need to do in real life, i.e pay my bills ontime.

The funny thing about this game is, I am not trying to finish it. I am just to resolve issues and get my character as strong as possible. Some game I buy and I just want to get to the end to finish the mission. Not here. I just go into the world and do stuff, like create potions, make weapons, enchant my gear and weapons. All this while resolving issues for my various groups I joined. I still am not sure when I will need another game. I am good for the rest of the year for sure.

ya, its because it does what an rpg is supposed to do. Its not supposed to be some interactive movie where you level up.

Indeed, awsome game, I tried to go up the mountain to complete the second or third main story mission and kept getting wasted by a snow troll, so i decided to just do side missions and faction missions for a while to level up and even the supposed "side missions" or "miscelenious" missions seem like your on a main quest sometimes. Very awsome game. Even with the occasional glitch.

Is anybody else not frustrated with the combat in this game?

I was fighting some hag witch who was spamming fire at me on a ledge from a distance and she summoned two snow trolls as well. I ran past the trolls up the ledge and did a power swing. My character kept on running until he fell off the ledge. This happened 4 times! Finally i reloaded and just turned into a werewolf before fighting her.

This is just one of the many incidents i have had with the combat in this game. Also i find it funny that i can kill a dragon with somewhat ease but i get raped by a cave bear.

Still a good game tho but no 10/10.

You obviously haven't fought an ancient dragon 0.0

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast20d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22920d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko20d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
