I would buy a X720 just play to Angry Birds. This gen is starting to look like crap. When cell phones have as much memory as your counter top gaming machine it's time to move on.

Looking at titles such as Battlefield 3 running on PCs really drives home the idea that current console tech is painfully outdated at this stage.

Looks like we won't have long to wait for the next-gen to begin - thankfully! :)

What do you expect from an exclusive sp game that was not even marketed well and released in the same week as Red Dead Redemption? even then, the game still sold pretty well for an exclusive. Over 1.5 million sold, hell that's just about as good as what most multiplatform games sell.

It's possible that gears 4, halo 5, fable 4 and the next alan wake could be launch titles for the neXtBox.

Both are launch titles for Vita I think.

1st Sony and MS are two very different companies.

2nd Comparing LBP and Uncharted to Gears and Halo is just crazy. LBP is a totally different game than Uncharted. Where Gears and Halo are both shooters.

3rd MS doesn't have the 1st party titles to throw them all into a launch. It is more likely be a 1,2 punch. Launch with Halo and then Gears the following fall.

Yeah me too, not that I really care how the box looks like.

I mean It doesnt have to like like anything special if the design works and doesnt have any major faults.
But a sleek look wont hurt. :D

Im more interested in what they put inside, that it works and the UI and features. :P

And sweet games, Hopefully Ms will pull themselfes together and produce some solid titles on their next platform. Just cant to to it like they do to 360 now IMO. 2-3 exclusives a year? (apart from arcade and kinect games)

This is the NEXT-gen we're talking about. And they put together the game for over 5 years simply because they could'nt wait till the Unreal Engine was released.

Unless of course they can evolve they can scale the engine higher like Frostbyte 2.0.

would be nice to see it go multi-platform but just because I want the game to do well, I loved the first game but lets be honest it wasn't a smash hit in sales, if it wen't multi it could do a lot better

Needs to be on PC. You can see how the original was cut back heavily to fit into 360, almost as if they bit off more than they could chew. Better off if they put it on PC and waited for the next gen machines to realise their original open world vision.

Plus it makes sense to move onto next gen after how successful this one has already been for them... Wasted talent this gen.

I don't see how either MS or Remedy could lose with a move like that. They'd get to use a more powerful machine and they'd be guaranteed sales both from those of us who are fans and those who just want a launch game to play.

It would also make sense, as they said MORE Alan Wake is coming to this generation, just not Alan Wake 2. It all fits.

I don't get why so many post in Alan Wake threads say how the sales were a fail. A new IP breaching the 1 million mark is a fail?

Alan Wake was a great game, and for a new IP (a non-shooter, at that, in a generation that is obsessed with shooters) to ever reach 1 million is a good job.

Is it because people compare it to Heavy Rains sales? If so, HR failed because it didnt sell as well as Dead Island. DI failed because it didn't sell as much as Borderlands. Etc.

I would love to see another Alan Wake on next gen hardware or on current gen. Kudos to Remedy on making a great game, and I hope MS was smart enough to secure the rights to this one.
