Following the official announcement of Voltron: Defender of the Universe last week, THQ issued some official screenshots taken from the upcoming game. Currently in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Voltron: Defender of the Universe is set to be released via Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network respectively.

The game’s main selling feature is the fact that it is based off the old Voltron TV series from the 80’s and it’s low price of ten dollars. However, is the game worth even the low price of ten dollars? Well that all depends on how hardcore a Voltron fan you are.

Hey you! Remember Voltron? No? Well, that’s hardly surprising. Unless you were born in the Seventies, chances are you have no idea what a Voltron is, let alone have the slightest desire to buy or play a game based on it. And trust us when we say that’s probably for the best.
