Dead Rising 2: Off The Record Is Wacky And Over The Top (Hands On) - RipTen

RipTen: In Dead Rising 2: Off The Record you return to Fortune City and experience the outbreak through Franks eyes, and what he would have done. Having played all previous Dead Rising games including the downloadable arcade titles, I was pretty excited to give Off The Record a spin.

agreed, thats what makes dead rising fun.

jaredhart4684d ago

I really want to like this series, but the first 2 didn't thrill me.

bumnut4684d ago

I just love killing as many zombies as I can in as many ways possible, I don't follow the story.

That amusement park was freaking sweet. Too bad not much has changed with the actual game. Can't wait to see more though, love the Dead Rising series.

McCullster4684d ago

Really cool to step back into Frank West's shoes. Hopefully they have spikes in them for killing zombies.....

WhiteLightning4684d ago (Edited 4684d ago )

Does this still have a time limit. I know it's half and half "thing"...some people like it the other half don't.

I hated it.

What's the point of making a fun open zombie infested place if you can't mess around. I mean sure you can tell me to just quit and do the missions but I bet people are like me when it comes to these types of games.

You like to mess around, find cool things, do a few main missionns, mess around again, go and do some side missions, main missions again and then back to messing around etc

It is that hard to include that option in. If theirs a choice you can please both audiences.

xPhearR3dx4684d ago

You could do that in Dead Rising 2. Just ignore the first mission and when you fail you have the option to keep playing and do no missions or restart. I'm sure it will be present in Off The Record as many fans wanted that option.

WhiteLightning4684d ago (Edited 4684d ago )

That's the point I don't want to fail and then restart when I want to do the missions, I want to mess around and come to the missions when I want to at my own pace. It feels like it rushes you to complete the game

Oh okay, I see what your saying. Who knows, that's a good question to ask them.

I played the first, and I bought #4. Other than that, strangely haven't played any of the others. I'll get round to it one day though I guess.
