The guys over at Rockstar decided Max Payne 3 needs another little boost in publicity... to re-assure us that Max is indeed coming.. eventually. Max will be back in his bald, straight-armed gun-slinging glory hopefully sometime soon, and these screens make it seem like soon won't be as long as we may have thought. Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij has finally revealed why some planes would randomly crash in GTA: San Andreas.
This fly by feature was on the cutting room floor due to the random plane crashes and it's one of those things I'm so thankful made it into the final version as these random fly by and crashes make the world seem more alive on the extremely limited PS2 hardware you needed everything you could possibly get in a open world to convey that feeling.
And accross hundreds of hours of gameplay I probably died around 3 times as a result of these fly by failures but I loved every time it happened
It made the world feel more human, and honestly kinda insane that even today with all these open world games, almost no one can capture that like R* even when compared to their ps2 games

Max Payne PS5 remakes are coming for the first two games from Remedy Entertainment, and we hope this Rockstar Games easter egg is kept in.
Will never forget these games on the PS2 and Xbox. Max Payne 3 was awesome, more so the arcade mode.

this is a game that has been forgotten by many, it is seriously the best shooter i have ever played. the story of the first max payne was incredible and the second was insane, witch games these days usually fuck up the sequels. i hope they carry on the legacy with this game and have a really well thought out story, and if they fuck it up.. rockstar are dead, mortal mother fuckin kombat style!
