Our favorite games of 2010 — Scrawl

Scrawl: "Rather than do a ‘Best Games of’ feature for 2010, we thought it’d be more efficient to instead tell you which games we enjoyed the most. Let’s be blunt, here — we haven’t played every single game released this year, but we did play a good lot of ‘em. Out of what we did, these are the game’s that we enjoyed the most."

Mass Effect 2, FTW. Loved it.

When I see pictures of 3D Dot Game Heroes it makes me want to play Minecraft.
Man, I'd love to try out 3D Dot Game Heroes though. I'll have to import it some day.

Stunt4882d ago

Why would you need to import it? It's out in North America, Europe, and in Japan. =)

Pumbli4881d ago (Edited 4881d ago )

Yeah but we Icelanders don't get half of the games the big countries do. (3D Dot Game Heroes being one of those games not released here)

Region free gaming ftw.

God of War 3 made my year, followed closely by GT5 then Fallout: NV. Though I couldn't buy most of the games I was planning to(MAG,HR,AC:Bros,NFS:Hot Pursuit) cause I'm on a tight budget, 2010 was still a good year for me as a gamer. Here's hoping I could buy half the games I want this year.

2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
