SouthPeak Games has officially announced the release date for Two Worlds which is now set to be released on the PC and Xbox 360 on 7th of September.
At last - only 2 weeks to go !
After playing the PC demo... I think I will pass on this game. It does not look as good as Oblivion. The voice acting is WORSE than Oblivion. And the fighting system is a lame duck compared to Gothic 3.
I had it set to everything max running at 1680*1050 and I did not have any framerate issues, so the guy that posted reading about framerate issues must have read wrong or it only happens on the 60 version.
there are people already playing the game and talking about frame rate issues. My local Gamestop has already said that it's available this afternoon. Still, this game has been delayed soo many times I believe it's released when I see it. The Two Worlds website has it listed for release last week already.
Southpeak has it dated for Europe on the 27th of this month.
Gamefly shipped my copy of Two Worlds yesterday (8/23). I'll let you guys know how it is while you wait.....MUHAHAHAHAHA!!! =P
Same here, gamefly shipped mynes already. Just finished checking it again...HELL YEAH, its shipped already!!!
I stopped by a local Gamestop this morning (10AM, EST, Aug 24) and they have this game in stock (360 version at least). Although, they only had enough to satisfy the pre-orders. Really poor launch plan on this one....
Thats weird, Hyper magazine in Australia has already reviewed this game and they weren't very nice to it. Thats not completely true, they said it would be great with 4 or 6 months more work.
Any Aussies here can back me up on that?
i already have it on pc and it is not really good, yes the world is huge but the animations in general are bad, for the graphics sometimes they are good and sometimes really bad, oblivion still, for me, the best action rpg game on pc for the 360 i don't know perhaps they gonna fix everything hmm i don't think so even with the 1.5 patch on pc it is not a revolutionnary game.
My rate will be 14/20
yeah my copy shipped the 23rd also cant wait ta play it before all u "other" people XD
A few guys have it and are reporting the multiplayer near unplayable due to framerate, though SP seems to be very good.
You guys need to pay more attention. Nobody is getting a great deal and "getting it early" from Gamefly. The game comes out TODAY. The 7th of September is the UK release date. Just like 90% of the rest of the games released in the past 20 years, Europe usually gets their games after us Yankees (even though Two Worlds has been out in Germany for a few months on PC).
...you will be letdown. Everything about 2 Worlds looks uninspired.
MOST games these days look uninspired. On top of that, all these massively hyped games end up not being all that great anyways, like Heavenly Sword (IGN rated it a 7), Lair (poor reviews all around), and... wait, maybe it's just the PS3 that's uninspired.
Anyhow, I played the demo on the PC and I liked it enough that I reserved a copy. It's certainly not game of the year material, but I liked it. It felt kinda like Dungeon Siege, which was a pretty good game with decent sales to boot. The voice acting sucks but I don't think it ruins the game or anything.
the game comes out today in the US... that article was for UK readers
It wont be as polished as Oblivion...but it does offer a Multiplayer element which that alone gives it a big plus. RPG's absolutely should be Multiplayer. So tired of all these single player RPG's. RPG's started out as pen and paper games that were played in a group....somehow game developers lost sight of that part of it when it comes to the console games. PC games like WOW still have that group feel but its not a true RPG feel imo. You still feel in many ways like you are playing around in a big social club as opposed to actually exploring out a dungeon and working together to solve the large story quest...as you did back in the old D&D pen/paper days.
Anyway....I am gonna pick up my 360 copy today...if its decent I will be happy. I just want the multiplayer.
