Darkworks, the Paris-based Action-Adventure developer, and TriOviz today announced their TriOviz for Games SDK now supports 3D TV, enabling AAA console games on these new sets for an even better immersive experience. The same post-process that facilitates 3D games on regular 2D displays works with 3D TVs using either active shutter or polarized stereoscopic technologies. The result is one easy-to-implement 3D solution for games across all TVs, removing confusion over conflicting 3D technologies for developers and consumers.
Gamasutra: Game developer Darkworks and stereoscopic 3D technology developer TriOviz have partnered on a 3D graphics SDK that will allow game makers to implement one 3D solution that works on both standard HDTVs as well as 3D-capable TVs, and today the companies announced that the SDK has been accepted into the official PlayStation 3 Tools & Middleware Licensee Program.
