GFB: Naval Assault: The Killing Tide Review

GFB: "As a gamer and a person who’s been land-locked since the day I was born, I went into Naval Assault: The Killing Tide with very little knowledge of submarines outside of what I’ve seen in movies. For all I know every submarine has Alec Baldwin and Sean Connery on them. This new submarine battle sim from 505 Games gave me a heavy dose of simulation with a nice amount of action mixed in. For those concerned that they didn’t spend six months in Ann Arbor, Michigan training on tactical subs at the US Naval Academy, don’t sweat it. 505 Games made sure that even land-lovers like us can get aboard a sub and handle our own in combat."

Meodia: Naval Assault: The Killing Tide Review.

Meodia.com reviews the Submarine based game Naval Assult: The Killing Tide;

"In short the game is an ugly, painful to listen to, boring, frustrating, cheating, glitchy mess which only the most die-die submarine fan would ever think of picking up. Avoid this game at all costs captain."

AU Shippin' Out August 2-6: Naval Assault: The Killing Tide

Gamespot writes:

With the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty hangover in full swing, only two games were brave enough to take on the RTS juggernaut for consumers' time and money this week. The first, Naval Assault: The Killing Tide, is exclusive to the Xbox 360 and lets players assume command of an American submarine during World War II. The second game, My First Trainz Set, aims to bring the locomotive simulation franchise to a younger audience, and allows budding train drivers to make tracks around the house.

Early August is set to be a quiet period with barely a trickle of games coming out, but things are expected to pick up around August 19 with the release of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
