Legendary Game Designer to Reveal New Project on GTTV

On the promo for this week's GameTrailers TV E3 primetime special, the announcer says that a "legendary game designer" will reveal his shocking new project for the first time on the show. It airs on Friday night on Spike TV at 11 pm and will likely be online on Gametrailers.com shortly after. (Dev, E3, Industry, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

They don't even say what this "legendary game designer's" name is?
I bet he/she isn't legendary at all.
SOAD  +   1783d ago
It's probably Tomonobu Itagaki.
Redrum059  +   1783d ago
Legendary? The only two that come to mind are zeldas creator and mgs creator(hideo kojima)
MajestieBeast  +   1783d ago

The guy made Ninja Gaiden. He is a legend whether you like it or not.
MajestieBeast  +   1783d ago
So he resurrected 1 decent franchise from the nes era.
DelbertGrady  +   1783d ago
Dead or Alive says hi.
jack_burt0n  +   1783d ago
SOAD is right most likely itagaki
Critical_Hit  +   1783d ago
My guess is it's Ken Levine. He's been working on something since BioShock.
HolyOrangeCows  +   1783d ago
Gametrailers has some wonky standards, so who knows if this person is really legendary or not.
MELMAN26  +   1783d ago
ahhh whatever...it's just gonna be that guy that made twisted metal (please excuse me for not remembering his name at the moment) revealing his new "twisted metal replica"

Mark my words....I mean text!

Ah yes...Mr. David Jaffe thanks Dizzlek

I don't think it will be an exclusive game, because those will probably be reserved for each individual console's conference.

With that said, Twisted Metal Black will probably be exclusive.

My guess is that it won't be him.
krisq  +   1783d ago
I don't think
he is legendary. Yet.
OSU_Gamer  +   1783d ago
good point
MELMAN26  +   1783d ago
Yeah guess you are right!
crematory  +   1783d ago

dizzleK  +   1783d ago
david jaffe.
coolcut135  +   1783d ago
i think its hideo kojima. He said that he was working on an ip that could cause him to leave the industry if he did not feel it was properly received by the media. Thats what i think i heard anyways, and it dosent fit his style to be revealing it on gametrailers.
Who knows it could jus end up being an over exaggeration of a developer.

Probably gonna be a tentacle rape game released in the US. /jk
I'm sayin' its Miyamoto announcing new Zelda or Jaffe announcing Twisted Metal.

Killjoy3000  +   1783d ago
If you watch the video
It sounds sooooo much like it's going to be David Jaffe for some reason... I just have this funny feeling.
Dawn_Of_Ashes  +   1783d ago
miyamoto ... zelda
Xpandemic  +   1783d ago
I agree....it doesn't get anymore legendary than Miyamoto.

Im hoping its Kojima with ZOE 3 but the chances of that happening is very slim.
xHarvey  +   1783d ago
Hideo Kojima and Fumito Ueda comes to mind. I doubt Fumito would work on The Last Guardian and another title simultaneously. Probably Kojima or Jaffe.
Optical_Matrix  +   1783d ago
It's either Jaffe, Hideo or Nomura. All are working on top secret porject and yeshhh I remember Hideo mentioning that his next project is a huge risk in terms of how it will be recieved and if it isn't received well he's leaving the industry.
It won't be Miyamoto...surely Nintendo is saving Zelda for their E3 presser on Tuesday? /:
jack_burt0n  +   1783d ago
its not going to be something worth saving for a conference so i doubt any of the above.
Hyrius  +   1783d ago
Please be David Jaffe.
CR-Y-SIS  +   1783d ago
It's something exclusive to the PS3 again. Sony always win, baby.
Kingdom Come  +   1783d ago
David Cage (Heavy Rain Creator) or Itagaki
Both these have spoken of upcoming titles and both have brilliant games under their belt...
Doc Sony  +   1783d ago
Probably another overbloated Keighley hype-builder
KilL7roCitY  +   1783d ago
Itagaki ftw ! :D
Dark360  +   1783d ago

It's either Kojima or Jaffe
Alcon Caper  +   1783d ago
Awesome person going to announce something.
SephireX  +   1783d ago
It could be Hideo Kojima announcing Metal Gear Gospel, Sega Dreamcast exclusive! Or it could be Sakaguchi announcing *The Second Last Story" for Wii 2. j/k
