New Xperia Pureness phone from Sony Ericsson has become the world's first mobile phone with a fully transparent display.
Pretty unique and innovatve, but not really useful for those who use their phones for more than calls and texting.
True but it's a step in the right direction. Anyone remember the first colour LCD mobile phones?
nothing innovative about this phone, it is just a barebones phone with a cool screen, it costs 500 dollars way too much. Sonys xperia x10 is nice though, has a snap dragon cpu and runs on android 2.0. I hope its good but i hate the buttons in the front.
how is "world's first" and "innovative" not working for you?
Plus, it's "TRANSLUCENT"...
Now... ill be able to check my cell phone at the stripper club right?
That is one classy looking phone
Does look classy though, but most Sony products do. Unfortunatly, this one's also useless.
Old news, like August old.
woohoo!! a video!! >.< http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The LG Crystal (GD9000, I believe) is so much cooler than this. Transparent keypad that has multitouch functionality and a sleek interface. Now that phone is worth a look :P This one is cool, but as someone else already said, it's not very practical for anyone planning to use it for anything but texting and making calls. And people who don't use a phone for anything but that will be able to find hundreds of cheaper phones on the market, some for even $20 or less. The only people this phone will appeal to are the same people who picked up those ridiculous designer Nokia phones that came out a while ago.
both phones will make you look like a moron. just stupid gimmicks for stupid people who care about nothing but image
Maybe a transparent screen will be part of the PSP2. Also make it touch screen with a stylus and with two analog sticks. Cater to the Nintendo crowd as well as the hardcore gamer. And the transparent screen will be used as a camera that's similar to the game Invizimals.
ok first off... this display is monochromatic, meaning black and white. I don't think they have a color version, at least not done the same way. This phone is not impressive to me at all. The transparent oled is a completely different story. That will be the future.
I think the PSP2 will go the Sony Ericcson Saito ROUTE, with a Powerful microprocessor = Powerful Gaming Device + all the bells and whistles And an ace up one's sleeve: PS2 Backward Compatibility, MAN I'M DREAMING!!!!! XP
I am strongly of the belief that if you run an english speaking news website, you should be able to write in english. maybe that's just me.
I think Sony forgot to include one slight feature...the ability to actually see the screen.
those guys are geniuses.
interesting concept and very sleek looking phone, but not really practical in brightly lit settings.
