Sierra Entertainment told IGN that Massive's World War 3 strategy game, World in Conflict, will enter a closed beta starting June 1st.
"Beginning June 1, potential field commanders will be able to join a global community of thousands of other strategy and action game players in a Closed Beta Test of World in Conflict's explosive multiplayer maps and game modes. The Beta test will run for approximately three weeks and will not only give gamers the chance to play a portion of the upcoming game, but their play-testing will also help the development team tweak, polish and tune World in Conflict to the best possible quality for its projected ship date this Fall."
World in Conflict is a Cold War based RTS game that came out in 2007 on the PC. Is it worth a replay today?

I've collected quite a number of free games on UPlay. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of its bloated platform, but they have been pretty generous w freebies if you've kept up with their mailing list over time.
In case you missed Ubisoft’s free giveaways, the French company is once again offering Watch_Dogs, World in Conflict & Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag for free for a limited time. These three titles are free on UPLAY right now. From today and until December 23rd, you can log into UPLAY and claim your free copies.
There is a reason I support this company. This is just icing. New IPs, not afraid to take a chance... Nicely done.
